We had been living in Vegas for 16 years when we decided to slow down and change lifestyles and moved to La Paz, BCS, Mexico . We returned to Vegas for a short time and the pandemic hit and delayed our return to La Paz. We took advantage of the time to reassess and buy property near our daughter and grandkids in Texas . We now are planning to make Texas our US base while going back and forth between the two. Merc is from Chicago where he lived until joining the Army, he lived in Germany for 18 years before moving back to the states . He loves family, baseball, traveling, anything German and meeting new people. Heidi is originally from California and studied in Mexico for two years before moving to Vegas 20 years ago and is excited to be back in Mexico were she enjoys warm weather, beaches, snorkeling, paddle boarding, hiking, playing volleyball and rollerskating on the malecon. So convenient to everything- within 3 miles you have all the amenities- Walmart, Lowe's, restaurants, Killeen mall. Fort Hood is about a 15 minute / 7.9 mile drive away. Go the other way and you are in the country with a farm and longhorn cows less than a mile the other way. You can get around by car, uber, city transportation. There is a gas station/mini mart, Mexican restaurant (Menos) and the Lions club within a mile. (Walking distance for some).
