I definitely recommend renting a car while on Kaua'i., but please note there is only one designated parking spot for this condo. The island is Rural, and the best destinations are best accessed by car, and then by foot, once you're parked at trail head or at a beach. There is limited public transportation, though you can opt for taxis and ubers.
