The location was great, 2 blocks away from a streetcar stop and it took us all the way into the French Quarter. Once we figured out the streetcar route and got a day pass we were moving.

I am only the 4th owner of this property since it was built. I've been lovingly restoring it in my spare time since 2006. I am a veteran-turned-professor of history and also lead fitness classes and historical tours of the city.

Property info

This is a fantastic house, a jewel of the 19th Century. Built in 1870, the house has hardwood floors, stained glass windows, and 18 inch baseboards. Transom windows and square-cut nails highlight the handmade workmanship of the builders of the era, with modern amenities like central air seamlessly integrated to make your stay enjoyable. We have rooms devoted to music and art to highlight local musicians and artists, and to help you plan an unforgettable stay in New Orleans!

Neighborhood info

Our neighborhood is a fantastic example of New Orleans community. Less famous than the French Quarter, we nevertheless have our share of music, food, and culture. Try the blackened redfish at the world-famous Jacques Imos down the street, or catch Rebirth Brass Band play at the Maple Leaf. A stay with us allows you to see the whole city instead of one small corner of it!
