Originally from Minneapolis, and after years in NYC, I found my home in Upstate NY. It’s living a dream to live in this majestic and historic home - and all surrounded by nature. I love restoring this house for others to appreciate, as well as being fascinated by the mechanics and workmanship of a time gone by. Fort Plain is a small village steeped in history. Some incredible architecture, remains of the original Erie Canal, and all surrounded by landscape that is breathtaking. There are a half dozen excellent restaurants here in the small village, and dozens more within a 20-30 minute drive. If history intrigues you, there are numerous site in downtown and within a short drive. And just on the next block is the Hall that Susan B Anthony spoke! Additionally, there are so many short drives out of town along what were first Native American trails; enjoying waterfalls and vistas in any season.
