Our Cabin has been beautifully remodeled and we can't wait for you to visit! Ideally situated halfway between Gunnison and Crested Butte, you can easily visit any part of the Gunnison Valley and Almont! If you prefer to stay close to home, you&#39;re in luck, there is some world class mountain biking, rock climbing, hiking, fishing and rafting are right in your back yard! This Cabin has private river frontage, you can hear the babbling water from every room in the house. It&#39;s truly a magical place!
Dan and Gracie live in Crested Butte and own/operate a small business On Elk Ave called Scout's General Store. We have a 1 year old son, Arlo and a little girl on the way! We love to recreate in the outdoors. Hiking, climbing, fishing and skiing are some of our favorite ways to do so. We think the Gunnison Valley is one of the more special places on earth and we feel lucky to live here!
The Cabin is located 25 minutes from Gunnison and Crested Butte, right in the middle! We’re 10 minutes from the town of Almont and a half mile from the Taylor Canyon with some of the best fly fishing and river rafting in the country. Harmels Resort is in the same area, they have a small restaurant and bar and horse riding/guided fishing. Taylor Park, a popular 4x4 destination is right up the road. During hunting seasons, this area has some of the most prime hunting in the Valley. There is so much fun to be had in this area!
