The roof top infinity pool was awesome! The staff at the sky bar were excellent plus other members of the team were also professional, friendly and extremely helpful. Food was delicious and the views from the restaurants was amazing. Rooms were well presented, looks of space, comfortable beds, lovely bathroom and great balcony with exceptional views. Would highly recommend! Thank you!

There was literally nothing we could fault this hotel on. The staff were amazing and so attentive. Always greeted us with a smile and a hello and helped us out if we had any questions!
I mentioned the trip was for a big anniversary and they upgraded our room, gave me some beautiful flowers and they gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate. This attention detail really made our trip!
The location was so good for exploring. We travelled everywhere by foot and never really needed a taxi for all the sites in District 1. If you like the markets, this one's for you as Ben Thanh Market is literally next door, and Saigon Square (another fake good market) is a short walk away. Opposite Saigon Square is Saigon Centre, which is a new shopping centre with your real named stuff in there.
We didn't have time to use the facilities like the pool or health club or gym, but they looked great.
Breakfast was great, with lots of choices of both Western and Asian cuisine. And the views are awesome!
This hotel is definitely value for money!

The hotel is very cozy and has very friendly and helpful staff (especially Kenny :)) The breakfast buffet is perfectly organized and, above all, tasty. So if you are going to visit this beautiful city, take advantage of the services that Cochin Sang offers.

Staff were lovely and very accommodating. Rooms very nice - bathroom a little small and sometimes the water was not hot enough. Really enjoyed the neighbourhood and how close it was to lots of things.

Asian Tradition, French Flair and Growing Modernity
Offering a trip through delicious Vietnamese aromas, small silk shops and ancient pagodas, the streets of Ho Chi Minh City dazzle tourists with their vibrant atmosphere. Its rich culture includes beautiful French colonial palaces mixed with modern skyscrapers that show the power of Vietnam’s economic capital.
Whether you decide to visit the Notre-Dame Cathedral, the City Hall, or the Municipal Theatre, you’ll see the care shown by Saigonese people in preserving their historic legacy. On the other hand, the Haussmann-style boulevards are typically packed with small motorcycles that make every street crossing a whole new experience.
Contemporary Saigon can be seen in places like the Bitexco Financial Tower, located directly at central Ham Nghi Blvrd. Meanwhile, Saigon Centre or Zen Plaza are some of its modern shopping malls.
For a look into Vietnam’s recent history, don’t miss the Reunification Palace or the War Remnants Museum. A sunset visit to the 23rd September Park is the best way to mingle with the locals.

Business city, all the sight seeing are in 2-3 hours of driving distance. Inside the city there are good night life but not for family / purchase. Only wine and dine available in the night. That too for people like us who are looking for Non-Vietnamese food should wind up within 9 or max 10 PM. However, the city starts too early like 6 AM everyone is on their full business (road side vendors). Lot of roadside vendors, very good public transport. Crowded at places but no chaos. Lot of history behind the city and good to hear and understand.
There was a market called Ben Tanh Market that has a history of 180 years. They said it will be open until 10 PM and weekend 24 hours. However, it was closed by 9 on Sunday, when we reached there. We missed that because of mis communication.
There are two Tamil temples (Murugan Temple - named as SRI THENDAY YUTTHAPANI TEMPLE, and a Mariamman Temple). Both are maintained by local people without knowing much tradition or even language. Tamil people across the world are funding to maintain both these places. Nicely maintained and peaceful to pray. Other Indian communities also use that for Indian festivals (for e.g. Durga Pooja) etc.
I could manage Vietnamese food however, my family and elders cannot. So every day we went to one or other Indian restaurants and had good food. Bit expensive but unavoidable to survive in Vietnam. If you plan well to take some readymade packed food and manage you can save some money.

District 1 is fairly compact and easy to explore.
District 1 is fairly compact and easy to explore. However, some form of transportation is required (i preferred Grab, as a quick and cheap option).
I appreciated there's a lot of green areas and parks; traffic is not as bad as in other ASEAN cities.
A bit disappointed that Notre Dame cathedral is undergoing renovations, so there's not much to see from the Outside.
Unfortunately i did not have time for out of town excursions.

The museums and the central markets were worth visiting. I think for the most memorable experience was the War Remnants Museum. Beautifully presented and extremely informative. The people Pi encountered throughout my short stay were so friendly and willing to please. I would highly recommend Ho Chi Minh city to anyone.

Lots to see and do, Temples and museums, war sites to visit, natural areas such as Mekong Delta to visit.
Many hotels to choose from and at a fair price.
Many restaurants and eating places serving wonderful Vietnamese cuisine to choose from.
Our advice - Use suncreen and a hat. Drink bottled or boiled tap water. Wash your hands with soap or sanitiser frequently especially before eating. Be careful to eat in busy restaurants where the food doesn't sit long, be careful eating salad washed in tap water (dunk it in your boiling hot Pho! ).
Experience the long distance trains. The Lotus Express is such a wonderful journey, go for the soft berths, very comfortable.
The smaller places around central, coastal Vietnam are a breath of fresh air after the big cities of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh.

Busy and noisy.
Busy and noisy. A must see for first time Vietnam travellers. I’ve stayed before and the Central Palace is in a cool parkland setting opposite the reunification palace. Great hotel for us older generation. No noise or kids here. Superb staff and position away from continuously tooting motor bikes.

Perfectly located hotel. Super clean. Staff was extremely nice and friendly and kind. The room spacious. Bathroom clean. Never had any reservations. Fresh towels and enough towels. An AC and currently, believe me, you’ll need it. Room got cleaned daily. Breakfast was included. Cafe sua da was amazing.
The location was on point. So well placed in district 1 in a quiet side street. Minimal to no noise. It was fun and easy to explore the beautiful city from there and get back. Can recommend big time
I had an amazing time at Cabana Hotel during my visit to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They were always available to answer any questions I had and provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants and sightseeing spots. The rooms were cozy and fully furnished and the complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel kept me connected during my trip. The hotel's convenient location made it easy to explore the café, restaurants, markets and nearby attractions.
Central location in District 1, where basically all sights of Ho Chi Minh City are located. The staff was extremely friendly. They even drove my boyfriend to a pharmacy when I needed medicine in the evening. One evening we were provided a great foot bath for free. We also booked the Mekong Delta Tour over the Hotel. The tour was a bit touristic but from what I have read online, that's normal. The breakfast was served in a partner hotel; it was small but nice.
Sai Gon hotel located in the heart of District 1. The hotel offers affordable accommodation with all the amenities. The hotel features a 24-hour front desk, a tour desk, and a concierge service. Staff are always willing to help with anything. There is no restaurant on site, but the hotel is conveniently located close to a variety of restaurants and cafes. The hotel is a great option for those looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in the city center.
The staff and services were excellent and couldn't be happier. The location was nice as there are numerous restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. It's also located in a quiet area away from the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City. My room was kept clean and well maintained too. I would highly recommend this Hotel.
I would like to extend my thanks to Receptions Staff Team (Phuoc, Nga, Dat, Quynh) for their helpfulness and warm hospitality.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is centrally located in District 1 and close to many restaurants and tourist attractions. The staff were excellent. Eager to help and a pleasure to deal with. The breakfast included is substantial and delicious. The rooftop pool is great, with a fabulous view of the city and the best way to end the day. The rooms are good, clean with a spa bath and an outdoor shower which in the heat of Saigon is actually quite fun.
The service was outstanding. The personnel was very friendly and helpful, especially the General Manager, Mr. Nguyen Ngo Phi Long. The breakfast was outstanding with many local and Western options. The hotel is very well located, in District 1 at the heart of little Japan (one of Saigon's most buzzing areas), within very easy walking distance to City Hall, Tan Binh market and the Independance Palace. We highly recommend this hotel.
Laca hostel is located in the District 1, very good location, we were able to get around by foot and by taxi.
The host was very helpful, she welcome us and gave us a lot of good recommendations about restaurants and places to go in Ho Chi Minh City!
The hostel is quite new, I really like the room we stayed, the bed is very big and comfortable. Overall, we enjoyed stay at this place!
Really excellent little hotel tucked away in the centre of district 1, only a 5 minute walk from the Opera House, City Hall and Square. The staff went out of their way to make us feel settled in and gave us a complementary cold drink on arrival (which was appreciated after our long journey!). Very clean and comfortable room that was nice and surprisingly quiet given the location,
We liked the location because it is close to the main attractions like museum and market. It is in District 1, backpackers area. The location is nearby the nightlife but so far it is quiet at night. We liked the cleanliness and the stay is value for money considering it is in a big city. Also we were happy that they have life.
The location of this hotel is good, it's not too far to walk to many of the places you want to see in Ho chi Minh city. The lobby area is nice and welcoming and the staff are friendly and helpful and gave us good recommendations of what to do and go and see in the city. Breakfast was good with a nice range of food choices.
Excellent location: the very center of Ho Chi Minh City (District 1) but thanks to the fact that the building is located in the courtyard - peace and quiet. In general, the noise of the big city didn't bother at all.
Cordial and helpful owner. He helped organize everything what was needed.
Sai Gon Hotel hotel is situated in the heart of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, where there are plenty of bars, restaurants, shops and shopping centers. The hotel has an excellent location, just a few minutes' walk from Ben Thanh Market and Tao Dan Park.
After staying in different hotels in HCM in both district 1 an district 3 at 4-5 star ratings, I can attest that this hotel offers the best value for money proposition with its friendly staff, spacious and clean room.
The central hotel is quite good, nice rooms, very reasonable price for an accommodation near the center, lovely staff. We will come back when we come to Ho Chi Minh City
