Loved the seclusion and the pool was massive, clean and staff very friendly. Not overpriced. Best Vietnamese salads we’ve had all trip, both the chicken and beef salads were fabulous. Short bike ride up behind the property to the local village was super interesting (bit touristy but still great).

The hotel is located in a small village about 20 kilometres from Mai Chau, which is why we booked it. We wanted to stay in a quiet and remote area and we really liked it. We cycled to Mai Chau one day; scenic landscape, simply fantastic. The bungalows are very nice, food was very good and eveyone super friendly. We had great fun with the three dogs, who are absolutely adorable.

Best beds during my stay in Vietnam!
Fantastic view on the fields! They provide help with activities and a taxi for example. Free bike rental. And they offer massages! For me perfect location and good price if i comper this to the other luxerious stays around. And still a nice place to have a good rest. Bc i felt sick last day they helped me with bringing breakfast and drinks in the room itself.

The breakfast was okay as it was included on the price of the stay. The view was pretty spectacular on the rare occasion we saw it (we only saw it 1 afternoon out of 3 days we stayed, it was foggy most days to the point you couldn't see anything).
We had a nice walking tour with Kay, he was knowledgeable and welcoming and also assisted us with organising a day tour/transport to Mai Chau.

We stayed in Ban Lac, it was great for accomodation, food, shoping and as a departure point for bike rides and trips. Very charming and quiet place, surrounded by rice fields and a bit further from the bigger road (still easy to get there). It was our favourite place in Vietnam.

It was really lovely.
It was really lovely. Calm without being too quiet, with lots of nice roads to walk and look out over the rice fields and gardens. Just enough food/beer vendors spread about to be good :)
Lots of dogs about, and the smell of burning plastic was a pitty.

This area is incredibly beautiful - rice paddies all around as well as much other vegetation and farming. Beautiful wild nature in the mountains. The people are very kind and the local cuisine is delicious. Visiting by scooter or motorcycle would be best as the sights are spread out and it would be a little difficult to visit. You could also do it by car but that would be less fun!

After checking out La Maison de Buoc, I returned to Hanoi and had a flight back to Australia. If I knew that the trip would be so beautiful and memorable, I would stay longer.
Mai Chau this season is very beautiful, even though there are no longer rice fields. People have harvested all the rice since mid-November. But it's okay, I visited Pu waterfall, Mai Hich stream, Thai ethnic villages, climbed Red Rock and Kiapaco Cave.
It can be said that my trip was too short, I wish I could stay longer.

I like solo traveling so the trip to Mai Chau was what I needed after a long time working. It was and is a quiet, peaceful place, not many things to do, but a lot of things to see. I'm glad I came here on a motorcycle so I can go around and see many thing. For example cloud hunting( or cloud sightseeing, waterfalls, rice field under the shade of mountains as the sun coming down. I hope booking.com adds video feature since I record most of my video
Staying here felt like we were staying with family! The owner of the place just recently opened this homestay and started learning English 5 months ago, but we didn't have any problem communicating. They go out their way to make you feel comfortable and are very helpful. They gave nice recommendations and it's also possible to rent a motorbike or bike.
The dinner was great and generous. I'm French Vietnamese, and it really tastes like what my mother would make! I would definitely come back here if Im staying in Mai Chau!
I've stayed here before and came back a second time. The room has a very beautiful view, mountains, forests and green rice fields
Large swimming pool, enthusiastic staff advising on services and tours to visit Mai Chau valley.
Clean and unique dishes such as fish with papaya leaves, grilled chicken, and pork in a bamboo tube
Experience living in a close and friendly living space with local people. Early in the morning you will hear the sound of roosters crowing that you never hear in the city.
Mai Chau itself is a special gem, but little Mai Chau homestay made it completely wholesome. Love the quietness, the hospitality, the views, the simple stay and very hot showers. Also the “family dinner” where you can meet and chat up different travelers! Most travelers stay for a day or two, but i would recommend taking it slower— i stayed for 3, longer if i could!! Anyone needing to decompress, relax and soak in Mai Chau’s slow rhythm, definitely consider this marvellous homestay!
The staff at Mai Chau Valley Hotel go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay. Very helpful, kind, and friendly. The room was spacious with a beautiful view from the deck. Excellent breakfast and we ate a few dinners there as well (on site restaurant). Great service and food. Huge bed was really comfortable! The room was quiet at night and the hotel is in a good location at the south of town.
Waking up to the view every morning is just spectacular! The staff were attentive to our every need. Beds were super comfortable, I thought food prices were fair and every meal was delicious. The hotel was able to get me a motorbike and we drove 40 miles over 3 days visiting around the resort, roads were easy and the local folks were wonderful! The pool was the perfect temp and has the same incredible views!
Hoi and his family were so welcoming and helpful. He went above and beyond, from booking transport, giving us routes for cycling and walking into the higher hills. They even did some laundry for us! Facilities are great and so authentic and we learnt about Vietnamese history and culture. Food was superb too and we especially enjoyed our introduction to Happy Water!
The retreat is a beautiful oasis in Mai Chau. The pool is a special gem of the retreat. We loved that it was eco friendly and all of the products and food spoke to this. The meals were delicious and fresh. The room was comfortable and had AC which was a pleasant touch. The property is beautiful and was the perfect place to stop and relax for a day. Highly recommend!
this lady is amazing!! great place for such a cheap money. restaurant delicious and great price! you feel like home, after all our stay in Vietnam it was the best place all!!! kitchen and fridge is open, if you want a beer just take it - pay later! like in home. we never eat so good and cheap in Vietnam before. definitely should go there!
Very nice breakfast with good selection and very helpful staff.
Note you essentially need dinner in the hotel too.
We stayed in a little bungalow which was really nice and spacious.
The resort in itself is great - Mai Chau in itself was a little bit less than we expected.
Nice evening show with folklore dancing and singing.
Absolutely everything!
The view, the surrounding, the private pool, the food, the free bikes and the exceptional room decorations.
On top of that, we got promoted for free for the presidential room. We surely got unforgettable memories over there. If we are back one day to Mai Chau, we will definitely book this hotel.
We had a great time at the hotel. The owners are very friendly. Bikes and motorbikes were organized within minutes. The view from the balcony is really nice. Mai Chau offers only a few restaurants, but we had dinner in the hotel every evening - also with a great view of the rice fields and mountains.
Wonderful time in this new homestay! The owners are kind and very welcoming. The location is perfectly set just far enough away. We rented bikes and easily reached town. The vegetarian dinner was excellent; one of our best meal in Vietnam!
Hue is a great host taking care of her guests, making sure they get an amazing experience in Mai Chau. You can rent bikes here and Hue can help you to book any future buses.
Breakfast are a plus and family dinner are delicious as well!
Wonderful, hospitable, great service, lovely family owned little business, homestay. Clean, amazing views , better than some of the 3 star hotels in Hanoi. Great breakfast. Just so lovely anfmd peaceful xx
Probably the best location in Mai Chau with full views of the rice paddies. The host was amazing in every way and the food was some of the best we have experienced in Vietnam.
the location, from where you can go to all the spots, a cave nearby managed by the hotel is a plus sightseeing, the friendly staff and the good food. Also the price!
