If you are looking for value, this is the place to go in this area. Yet, I cannot stress enough that the greatest value Aloe Inn gives us in its concern for the client. They went way above and beyond to address my safety and comfort. The room was...

Waghteenbietjeskop Farm, was the first farm registered in the Piet Retief area, with graves dating back to the 1887. The farm stretches over the Assegaai river and has a rocky hill top (kop) looking over the valley. The farm is 123,5ha in extent, giving plenty of space for hiking and biking. The river in turn offers canoeing, fishing swimming or just lazing around in the sun. For ranching and horse people, the everyday feeding and grooming of the horses and cattle count and issuing of lick, are a highlight to the day. Birdwatching is plentiful and guests are encouraged to share their sightings. On the farm we also have the Essential Oil Seedlings nursery, producing seedlings and cuttings to the quickly expanding essential oil industry in our area. The farm also grows distills Essential oils on the premises. It is possible with adequate warning, for those interested in distilling there own oils, to arrange for this activity.
We are all horse crazy. Ryan and Keren are very keen photographers and birders. We drink spring water straight from the ground. It is so tranquil here that when you hear a vehicle, it is probably coming to see you. At night, on a clear evening, you can almost touch the stars they are so clear. We are independent from eskom, and wifi is available in the cottages
Wakkerstroom, one of the best birding districts in South Africa, is just up the road. Swaziland is only 39kms away and is a favorite destination for shopping sprees like the famous glass works, weaving and don’t forget the casino’s. We are situated halfway between Gauteng and Richards Bay and have become a favorite stop over between the KrugerPark and St Lucia.
