St Francis Bay is famous for its canal-system. Canal Guest House is the only Bed & Breakfast situated on the canals. Our rooms located right on the beautiful waterways. Watch the boats go by from your private balcony, get picked up from our private dock to go on a sunset boat cruise or take a swim with the fish in the pristine canal waters. Use our free kayak and bicycles to explore! The guesthouse has stunning thatched roofs and beautiful architecture which is part of the charm of St Francis bay. We have a swimming pool for you to enjoy. We are officially graded with 4-stars by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa and take this accolade very seriously. We have solar power and underground water on the property which is triple-filtered and UV sterilized.

Rob and Pam have been working in the hospitality, service and tourism industry for over 15 years. After working in the super yacht industry and managing exclusive private island estates in the Bahamas they decided to return South Africa. Their high-level hosting experience, living abroad and meeting people from all over the world was the perfect fit to them opening up their own guesthouse which has been a great success. Pam and Rob decided to settle in the unique Garden Route town of St Francis Bay, known for its canals and famous surfing beaches. "We bought this property for its location and amazing views and have enjoyed renovating the rooms to be both contemporary and comfortable. We host many international travellers and always hear from guests -we wish we could stay longer". We look forward to hosting you too! Happy travels!

We are in the middle of the canal- area located in the safest part of St Francis Bay where we experience a wonderful care-free lifestyle. Our closest beach is a 10-minute walk away over 2 bridges to the beautiful Kromme River Mouth. A very popular spot for swimming, birding, walking, fishing and kite-surfing on windy days. The Quays Restaurant is right across the road from Canal Guest House. It serves delicious meals and is a great place to have a cocktail right on the water. Join the local running, swimming or paddling clubs who meet and exercise from The Quays weekly.
