Room was comfy, quiet, and had all the essentials. The owners were so polite, kind and accommodating. They truly created a beautiful space there. The breakfast was excellent and we recommend adding it to your reservation.

Offering air-conditioned rooms in the Shimogyo Ward district of Kyoto, situated between Kamogawa River and Takase canal, Hazuki Kyoto is 20 minutes stroll from Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Gion District. It was wonderful experience for me and for my family. The design was increadibly beatiful and simple. We really felt the traditional japanese housing from inside to outside. Not just the house but the neighborhood was also quiet and wonderful. When you get out from house you step on a beatiful tarditional housing area with an old river next to it. Hazuki kyoto is not like a standard concrete building with interiors covered with japanase style. It is itself trditional ryokan from inside to outside. We loved it. The owner is a great man and we also loved him. We came to checkin late and he was out because he should have taken one of his hotel guest to hospital. He left right messages and right notes for us to checkin flawlessly. And we did. But he felt deeply sorry for this to happen. Even though It was totally ok for us. He apologized many many times. He presented gifts to us, to my son. We are deeply honored by him and his hotel and his country. I would definetely recommend to anybody who plan to go to Kyoto By the way There was ac, floor heating, beatiful and large private bathroom, room was also clean and enough for three. Close to convinient stores and metro station.

The place is amazing! Right next to the point where people stand day and night to take pictures if the pagoda. Must say the picture of the hotel from that point is prettier!

Everything! The staff was phenomenal, the room was clean and big. The location is PERFECT! Right next to Gion. The bathroom was also bigger that i expected (in other hotels we stayed in it was just a small shower with small bath) Kinda struggled with filling the bath but I’m sure if i asked the staff they would definitely help me. But we figured it out :)

The room feels like a mini small apartment very small) Have kitchenette and washing machine. The bed can be folded, so there is room for a small table to eat. Also have small nice balcony. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood and only 15 minutes walk from the main train station. Close to bus stop (minutes aprox) for other site seeing in the city. They have all the amenities needed for staying. Really recommend, great value for money.

The staff had little English, but we both tried hard and good-naturedly, and successfully to communicate. The neighborhood was charming and not touristy. Very comfortable.
