The place was very cozy and it was close to all the beaches. Everything in the cottage was right at your fingertips and the bed was very comfortable. We'll be planning to stay again soon. It made an early birthday getaway spectacular.

We were so thrilled to stay at the Merchant for the proximity to everything. And how cool to stay in one of the well known historical buildings in all of Salem!! I cannot speak more highly of the staff who were so attentive and helpful pre-arrival and then through our stay. They are not on site in the evenings (after 5pm) and there are not elevators if that's something you require.

Super easy check-in (we received a code to open the door) and parking (on the side of the house), awesome spacious room with water views. Breakfast was prepared for us in the downstairs kitchen-living room area - great start to a day discovering Boston !

Periwinkle has been completely renovated to a high standard and was designed by Nantucket Looms. The inn is set to reopen Memorial Day Weekend, 2023! It was conveniently located in the centre of the village. Bright airy and lovely to see the rabbits in the garden every day.

Everything. Well appointed. Lovely property in an area of attractive small stores for shopping, excellent restaurants, access to Chappaquiddick Island and the water and beaches. Manager Helen even served hot chocolate-chip cookies mid-afternoon. Breakfast was simple but interesting with fruit smoothies, hard-boiled eggs, muffins, breads, croissants, granola and yoghurt. Always excellent coffee. Enjoyed the outdoor firepit with comfortable seating. We had a reserved parking spot (although it was an extra charge)
