Featuring great views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi, Konanso boasts natural hot spring baths and large Japanese-style rooms with traditional tatami (woven-straw) flooring. Amazing experience of a traditional ryokan. The staff was excellent, kind and helpful at all times, rooms were clean and tidy, ours had an amazing view of the lake. You can use most of the facilities for free with some additional ones having a fee. We chose the included dinner and breakfast option, dinner was an amazing experience full of flavors and textures we were not used but definitely liked. Breakfast was pretty good, buffet style, but with both Japanese and western options. In terms of location, I think it’s really good depending on what you want to visit. It is just in front of the lake, and has the red line (i think) bus stop right in front of it, which we used to get there from the train station and to get to other tourist spots around the lake. There’s a lawson just outside, the boat ride in the lake and the panoramic ropeway are also just a few minutes walk away which was very convenient.

Offering beautiful Mount Fuji views from all rooms, public baths, and restaurants, Mizno Hotel is a 5-minute drive from Kawaguchiko Train Station. Incredible staff, mt fuji views and private onsen with Fuji Views. PERFECTION

Located in a 100 year-old Registered Tangible Cultural Property, Ryokan Hostel K's House is located in Shizuoka, a 7-minute walk from JR Ito Train Station. The building is beautiful, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the single room is cute and cozy, and the onsen is amazing. Highly recommend!

A wonderful stopover as we walked the Nakasendo trail. The hosts, Ken and Yuki are super friendly, kind, and fluent in English which is rare in smaller hotels in Japan This small hotel is very cozy, the food is delicious and there is a small bar in-house which is great since there is not much to do in Magome at night. Rooms are spacious, traditional tatami and bed available. We had a very nice view of the mountains. Even though bathrooms are shared there are only a 5 rooms in the property, so not a lot of people and everything is spotless clean.

It was so spacious and very nicely decorated. The fridge and lounge was well stocked. Onsen was clean and so comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Loved my stay at Kurumiya, was definitely the highlight of my Japan trip.
