The Brukshotell has to be the most delightful B&B we have ever stayed in. We wanted a Swedish countryside experience after our city stay in Stockholm, and chose the perfect country house with the perfect hosts. Carl and Celeste welcomed us like friends. Not only that, but Celeste is an accomplished chef! Be sure to book for dinner as you will be treated to an original, superb three-course menu featuring local meats and produce. The country house is just lovely, set in leafy green grounds and within walking distance of lakes and even a Swedish elk park. Carl Larsson's iconic house is a 30 minute drive as is Falun, so there is much to explore in the area. But for peace and quiet, you couldn't find a more perfect setting. The rooms were spacious and airy, the beds very comfortable, and we left with a sense of total refreshment. A most special place we definitely look forward to returning to.

Situated by the National Museum, this chic waterfront hotel offers views of the Old Town and Royal Palace. It offers a popular bistro-style restaurant and art exhibitions. The location is great and the staff is super nice.

The location was simply perfect, accessible by public transport from Stockholm central station while being in nature. Can you imagine being in the middle of the woods of the Stockholm archipelago during the fall, biking to a natural reserve or going down to the sea by foot? That's how amazing it was - no noise, pure bliss. The jacuzzi was a wonderful plus. Viktor was very welcoming, so were his two cats, and the breakfasts were BIG (and delicious). I cannot recommend it enough, it really has a special place in my heart!
