The best thing of all is the location – it’s close to all the main attractions. Within just a few minutes’ walk you can reach the funicular, the Tapestry Museum, the boulevard, Little Venice, the Baku Eye, Deniz Mall, and of course, the Old Town. Another highlight is the very kind, English-speaking receptionist, Bajram, who is truly a gem! He gave us lots of useful information, was always in a good mood, ready to help, and had a big smile on his face. We would choose this accommodation again just because of him. Breakfast was tasty and enough to start the day, and another plus is that you can have it early. If you have a trip planned, they will gladly prepare it for you in advance with no problem.

Solid boutique hotel that takes care of the atmosphere and homeliness. The general manager appears to be very tidy and good with people. I consulted with him about several practical things. I also liked the woman who was responsible for cleaning - with a good and warm smile. Everything works as it should and the room is inviting. They also have a small balcony where you can sit and just be. Can definitely be recommended.

Amazing location. Definitely the prettiest part of the city! Look and comfort is excellent! I would really say hillside is an exceptional hotel for its price range! I am super happy to have booked it especially as a solo female traveler. I felt super comfortable! The staff is also very kind. (The doors are ,next to the key card, physically lockable which was a big plus for me). Overall VERY pleasant experience!

Flame Towers

When groundbreaking architects HOK get involved in a project, you know it’s going to be spectacular. Flame Towers is no exception. By day, the angular shapes and shiny façades of this trio of towers stand in perfect juxtaposition to the storied old town they overlook. At night, their exterior shells of 10,000 LED lights burn brightest in the Baku night sky.

The most iconic buildings of Baku.

The most iconic buildings of Baku. You won't have to bother much to see them - they are visible practically from every corner! - but it is worthwhile to take the Funicular (close to Deniz Mall) and reach the hilltop, wheree they are located. Nearby there is an interesting Memorial area, dedicated to the victims of the so called "Black January" (of 1990) when the Country started the process of independence from USSR.

The Flame Towers in Baku are a stunning symbol of modern Azerbaijan. Their flame-shaped design beautifully reflects the city’s blend of history and progress. Watching the towers light up at night with dynamic LED displays was truly mesmerizing — especially from the Baku Boulevard or the Highland Park viewpoint. The architecture is bold, the views are unforgettable, and the skyline feels alive with energy. A must-see landmark that perfectly captures Baku’s rising spirit. The Flame Towers in Baku are a stunning symbol of modern Azerbaijan. I really enjoyed my stay at old baku terrace hostel. The location is very close to the metro and in the middle old old town. The terrace was amazing with great views of the city and the flame towers. The hostel has a kitchen and fridge to keep your food (and wine) chilled. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and I enjoyed my time with them. The beds are comfortable with curtains and the rooms spacious. There was always hot water. I booked for 2 nights and ended up staying 6! I would 100% recommend this hostel

It was a wonderful hotel in the heart of the old city. We used it as a base for exploring the old buildings, the seafront and the flame towers. We also arranged trips from here. The staff were all very accommodating and helpful. Our room was comfy and spacious with a view towards the sea.

The moment I walked into my room at Senator Hotel, I was floored by the view. Honestly, it’s one of the best spots in town to see Baku in all its glory. You get the perfect mix of the Caspian Sea and the iconic Flame Towers right from your window. Watching the city light up at night while the Flame Towers put on their show was the highlight of my trip. If you’re looking for a place where you can just sit by the window and soak in the vibe of the city, this is it. Trust me, the view alone is worth the stay!
