Apparition Hill
Originally known as Mount Podbrdo, this Međugorje landmark rose to fame in 1981, when locals reported a series of apparitions of the Virgin Mary. The spots where the visions took place are now marked by crosses and statues, and pilgrims flock here from far and wide to make the rocky scramble up to the shrine.

It is a MUST GO place.
It is a MUST GO place. Yes, there is a hill to get there, but its very possible to climb it. When you get there is a peacefull place and an awasome place to see the sundown (and probably the sunshine, too).
Medjugorje is a piece of heaven. And the BEST PLACE to eat!!!

Very close to the entrance to the Apparition Hill trail. A quiet and lovely location. The apartment is equipped with everything you need. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the church.

It was great stay in this apartment, very spacious and very comfortable beds. its a very quiet place and just 5minutes drive to St. James , Krizevac mountain and apparition hill. Very excellent for a family looking for stay at Medjugorie.
Jakov the owner is very helpful and gave as bunch of big tomatoes for their garden..
i will go back this property again..

It was central to everything and right opposite St James and all the restaurants and shops. Only a 7 mins walk from the bus station. 24 mins walk to the Apparition hill and opposite the taxi station. You can book full board or half board.
The owners of the hotel are available and very friendly, welcoming and kind.

A lovely place to stay. The hotel is clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is excellent. It is ideal for pilgrims, with a chapel on site and easy access to Apparition Hill. On hot days, guests can cool off in the outdoor swimming pool for an additional fee. I highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again.

Great location great amenities and facilities apartment had a kitchen with hob fridge with mini freezer cupboards toaster kettle.No oven. Rooms cosy clean well equipped Bathroom had a bath which is lovely after lots of walking 3 mini supermarkets very near by close to st James church and Main Street (10 mins ) apparition hill 15-20 mins walk staff are so nice and attentive

The apartment was clean, Brank had kindly left tea, coffee, fruit, biscuits as well as wine for the guests.
It was at the doorstep of apparition hill, extremely comfortable and Branka made sure I was well looked after.

Everything was perfect during our stay at Hotel Leone. Staff are very friendly. Location is perfect. Breakfast is good. Love the view from our window facing the blue cross mountain and Apparition Hill.

We enjoyed our stay. The proximity to Apparition Hill was a great benefit as we ascended there a few times per day. Everything you might need in Medjugorje is not far from the hotel. Dario is an exceptional host and person. We’re going to come back shortly. It will be definitely Villa Ruza again

This was the second time we stayed at Hotel Grace. We love that it's near St James Church close to Apparition Hill, shops and restaurants. Breakfast was great and rooms were leaned each day and they even left bowl of fruit in the room for us.

We had the apartment which was massive with 3 bedrooms ( 1 double bed, others had 2 single rooms) Hearty breakfast served in restaurant included eggs, cheese ham toasties, and bread ham selection. Also fresh croissants and cereal available. Hotel is a 5 min walk to St James Church and 30 mins to Apparition Hill. Set in centre of town everything was close by.
