All the tourists go there but it has gone downhill due to...
All the tourists go there but it has gone downhill due to covid store closures and large homeless crisis (close to East Hastings Street -avoid) .saying that, they are going to make this a car free, pedestrian area this summer so it might improve

Worth a visit to see the Steam Clock in action, lovely shops...
Worth a visit to see the Steam Clock in action, lovely shops and nice to stroll around. There are quite a number of homeless people in this area and we were advised by our tour guide which streets (area) to avoid and to stay together. Main street was fine and lots of people around.

Everything! It has character, is very comfortable and is very convenient for Gastown and along the seafront to Stanley Park. After staying in “normal” hotels since we arrived in Canada, O Canada House was a very special and unique place to stay in Vancouver and I would recommend it to anyone

Fabulous location right in the heart of Gastown . Squeaky clean, spacious accommodation with the advantage of secure underground parking, walking distance to cafes and restaurants and a short walk down town. Lots of attention to detail and care in the apartment, bed is extremely comfortable,, washing machine and dryer facilities an added bonus. Owner is very responsive. Highly recommend for a short or longer stay in this wonderful part of Vancouver.

Very nice Hotel in the centrum of Vancouver. Including Italian Restaurant and Bar. Rooms with good space, comfortable and well designed. Bath is very functionel and good concepted. Awesome service and good breakfast. Only a short walk to Robson Street, BC Place, Rodgers Arena and Gastown.

Perfectly located hotel. 10 minutes to Gastown and the Vancouver viewing tower. Supermarket 1 minute from the hotel front door. Plenty of bars and restaurants close by. Very comfortable room. Nice balcony. We used the pool and hot tub once which was very nice. Staff excellent, in particular Carol, who helped check us in and explained all the must see sights, thank you.

This apartment is very very secure. It is on the 29th floor with good security. Very clean. Very well equipped. Very secure parking arrangements. Great and responsive communication from the host. Lots of cooking supplies/condiments provided. It is in a Good location right near Gastown clock on the upside of Gastown. The host also provided us with a very welcome ‘late checkout’ which was very much appreciated.

Hotel Le Soleil was a very nice option for our stay at Vancouver before heading to Vancouver Island. We got a free transfer from the airport, hassle-free. The satff was really welcoming, kind and helpful. The location is great (near bike rentals and you can start a nice tour from there, wlkable distance to restaurants, the Harbour and Gastown). The room was very comfortable and breaskfast was good. They even prepared a little packed breakfast the day we were leaving very early. I would recomment this hotel.

Perfectly located, 15 mins walk to Sunset Beach and also 20 mins to Gastown. Rooms are ok, AC is a bit loud. Staff is super friendly, you can always ask for water, coffee and complementary non alcoholic drinks. We liked the courtyard which is very nice with lots of plants, palm trees and a comfortable seating area. Parking in the hotel garage is possible but comes with additional cost. For us as a family the whole stay was working well.

The hotel is in a great location close to Canada place and Gastown, lots of places to eat and get souvenirs. Pub is also really good.

Great hotel in one of the best shopping areas in Vancouver. Hotel breakfast was delicious but lots of other restaurants and cafes around too. Walkable to Gastown and the port area, approx. 25 minutes. Huge room and lovely views. I would 100% stay here again. Vancouver hotels very expensive but this was more reasonable than some of the others and worth it. They let us check in over four hours early with no extra charge, much appreciated after getting off a cruise ship early. We then paid CAD20 for a late check out which was really handy.
