Unique value for money accommodation in the heart of Basel. Modern, spacious and comfy rooms. Free mini bar was a bonus . Helpful and friendly staff . Nice roof top bar with terrace will be lovely in Summer time. Highly recommended.

The location is convenient for reaching the train station and city centre areas. There are tram services just outside the hotel. The swimming pool is of a good size for a proper swim. The fitness centre is adequately equipped. The staff are friendly and helpful

Very close to the train station. We had an upgrade from the classic to the deluxe double room, which was amazing, on the 13th floor, with an incredible view. The room service, the personnel, the food, everything was magnificent. Thank you for this experience.

Small hotel in a very convenient location, a couple of minutes walk from the main station. Clean comfortable rooms. Automatic check-in is very easy, with card reader for credit card payments and automatic delivery of room keycards. There are no staff at reception, but I got very quick response to a telephone, and also a text message, inquiry. Free coffee from the machine in the lobby. Prices are very reasonable. I've stayed here more than once, and I recommend it.

The staff behavior and hospitality

Perfect for a short stay. Easy to check-in, close to public transport and anything tou might need like stores or restaurants. We got the BaselCard as well which made the public transport free and gave us discounts at moat of the things we wanted to see around town.

The location of Motel one Basel is extraordinary. When I first looked at Google Maps, I thought it was good, but when I arrived and saw it in person, it was out of this world. The doors of the lobby literally opened up onto Barfusserplatz. I might be slightly exaggerating with my descriptions but as I was there during the Christmas Markets, it literally felt like stepping out of my house directly into such a lively market, and that was perfect. The rooms was spacious, clean and the beds comfortable. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely helpful, he provided an adaptor (I didn't have the Swiss adaptor) and also helped to exchange my large denomination CHF for smaller notes too. Service was always with a smile, nothing like Swiss Hospitality!

It's one of my best experiences! The location is perfect. Car parking is convenient and just in the hotel. The room was cozy and clean, and everything that could be needed was in the room. The coffee was good. I love this stay.

Very clean and comfortable. Great pillows!The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed a free welcome drink on arrival. The location is great being close to the old Town and a bus stop is opposite the hotel which is very handy.
