I loved everything about this unique hotel. The reception had the most amazing staff – they spoke excellent English, were incredibly welcoming, and made me feel at home right away. The building itself is breathtaking, it’s almost unbelievable to imagine how it was constructed inside a former quarry. The coffee bar was a true highlight – I could even order a coffee with my own logo on it, without any hesitation. The show at the hotel was spectacular; even though it was in Chinese, it didn’t take away from the wow effect at all.

The location of the hotel is in a very prominent area if you are looking to visit the Guangfulin area. The hotel has a private access to the Guangfulin Relics Park. Also, the hotel has a nice area for outdoor activities, as well as kids play area which my child really enjoyed. The hotel staffs were really cordial and had english speaking staff. You can easily take a small trip of one or two day if you are visiting Shanghai to get more authentic Chinese heritage feel by visiting the Guangfulin Relics.
