Our second time at the Prague castle was not a pleasant experience as this time we had our dogs with us. Even if on their website and in reviews it´s stated that dogs are allowed on the castle ground but not inside the rooms, our experience was different. After walking about 2km to the upper entrance, security told us that because there is a private event that day, dogs are not allowed on the castle grounds unless they have a muzzle (which of course we didn´t bring along with us). So after going back 2 km and passing through another entrace, we saw a couple going pass security with their dog (without a muzzle) so we tried to do the same. They told us this was the rule for that day, but eventually they let us in because we pointed out other dogs that were there without muzzles
Great Castle we booked to go up the tower which is well worth the effort but we paid the price for the next two days our legs were shot at. 300 and odd steps up a tiny spiral stair case. Don't say I didn't warn you.
Wander the castle, but make time for a one hour concert at one of the small palaces. starting around 1pm each day a trio of symphony orchestra players will delight you with a selection of favourite classical music. Very easy to book your tickets online.
Once you cross the Bridge - you can get the Tram up the hill to the Castle.. OR Walk it not too far if your fit. There are different tickets for the Individual buildings - the castle inside is amazing.. DON"T Forget thee is a small street at the back of the Castle where they have the Armoury (upstairs) great little street.
Must , if you want to say that you visit Prague , the only thing I’ll say is if you pay to climb in the tower near cathedral, be sure you don’t have respiratory issues, because it’s really lot of steps to climb and there’s not enough space for rest . ( I say all that because I hear someone with asthma saying..... f... I pay entrance to die ) Otherwise the view worth more than enough from up there .
You can go in the Cathedral for a good enough look without paying. You need to pay an entrance fee near the gate to go past the roped area to see the full Cathedral. Don't miss the Lobkowicz Palace (for music, art, café).
We highly recommend the Boutique Hotel Constans. Their luxury interiors, room features, breakfast, & underground parking came at excellent rates. Their unbeatable value includes a stunning location that places guests in the quiet embassy neighborhood less than 20 minute walks from Prague Castle, Strahlov Monastery Brewery, Charles Bridge, and Kampa Island. There are nearby bistros for a glass of wine, beer, or a meal—whatever you’re in the mood for. We appreciated the staff’s helpful and friendly manner.
Prague
The location was great, everything is easy walking distance from the apartment. There is also easy access to trams if you want to get out of Old Town. The apartment was well kept with a beautiful view of Prague castle, especially at night. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and the property managers were very responsive to anything we needed. Finally, I have to add that the shower pressure was fantastic!
Prague
The location was excellent, we could walk to Old Town square in minutes, shopping area, Charles bridge and Prague castle were walking distance as well. We did take tram to castle as uphill walk, but walked down. We ate breakfast one day at little cafe attached, very nice but so many great eating spots all around. We would stay here again!
loved our stay here. The hotel is beautiful, and so spacious, and charming. We loved the old world charm of the room and building as a whole. It is also so centrally located. 5 minutes walk to charles bridge, and to prague castle. Great value for money. So worth it. Would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to stay here.
Nice, clean, quiet room with comfort bed . Outstanding front desk (Ladies helped me with earlier check in, directions). Hotel close to several good restaurants. Next to metro stop and very easy access to all attractions in Prague ( concert at O2 arena, Prague Castle or cold beer at Old Town Square)
Beautiful historical building with wooden external stairs to rooms. Rooms are really stylish with great beds and facilities. Breakfast is in the basement of this building and it is really generous. We were offered delicious prosecco during breakfast. Location is few steps away from Prague Castle.
Location is great and very near to the Prague Castle. We covered the new and old prague city just by walk. Though you have to walk almost for 10 to 11 kms to see old and new prague from hotel but it was worth walking. Nice location and helpful staff.
clean comfortable room, quiet at night, on 7th floor possibility to use a small terrace with great view of roofs and Prague castle, hotel with good location, 15 minutes walk from train station, good breakfast and even afternoon snack for free
Room was very Clean and the bar was Amazing, you can find there PlayStation and billiard (8Ball) to play Also. Cocktails are amazing . The Metro is neat ( 5 min walking). The amazing lines to city center or Prague Castle.
The location of the Hotel is excelent. There's a tram stop with many trams in a few minutes walk and the Kampa Island, the Charles Bridge, the Petrin Hill and Prague Castle are also close to it.
To make the most of the local culture go by foot, Prague Airport Transfers offer free walking tours to transfer customers, however be mindful that Prague Castle is a good hike uphill but well worth the visit especially for the views over the city. Local beers are a must try and much less expensive than imported brands. If using the Metro system, be sure to validate your ticket.
Charles bridge, John Lennon wall(and pub) and the Prague castle are all must sees. Also taken the walk up the astronomical clock is well work 100kc for the views.
The Jewish quarter is well worth exploring - get the all in one ticket and spend a few hrs there. Very emotive at times. Prague castle also is a must, walk up to it through the gardens - beautiful
Very historic monuments, well kept, my favourite Jewish Town. In Prague castle you can relate to nei gothic, gothic, Renaissance type of building in one courtyard. History well kept.
Prague castle is fascinating and the architectue everywhere is worth seeing.
We did the hop on hop off tour. Found a better deal with a leaflet lying around the information centre... Took it to the main hop on and off tour guides by the Madame Tussaud's museum who matched the price and threw in a free Prague castle tour which was amazing! Highly recommended.
