Once you cross the Bridge - you can get the Tram up the hill to the Castle.. OR Walk it not too far if your fit. There are different tickets for the Individual buildings - the castle inside is amazing.. DON"T Forget thee is a small street at the back of the Castle where they have the Armoury (upstairs) great little street.
We did not buy tickets to tour the various structures. You could still look in most of them. That made the experience much more like wandering & perhaps less grueling. It was very pleasant admiring all the architectural styles jammed together & the people dutifully trudging from one important place to the next
Go early in the day to beat the crowds. Strolling through the gardens is a nice break from the crowds and heat during the summer months. Once going through the security line you can access Lebkowski Palace - nice museum with audio narration and opportunity to hear great live classical music.
Castle complex is huge---lots of hilly walking. You must go through a security and the lines can be long. I'd go mid afternoon and remeber where you came in there are several exits and it can be easy to get lost.
Go early go to the I information office that is across from the church not the ticket office in the first court yard. That office does not offer. Tours or audio headset. We missed out by purchasing ticket at the first office.
The B Circuit was even a little much. The cathedral and golden lane was plenty for us and we should have paid for them individually. The photo license may have been honor code, because nobody checked that I was permitted to take pictures inside.
Golden Well Hotel is a traveler's paradise! It has great amenities and the Golden Well staff is outstanding. The hotel rooms offer amazing views of Prague. Dining at Terasa's rooftop was outstanding with more great views of the city and its beautiful spires. Excellent location for walking to the Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, Prague Castle, cathedrals and visiting historic sites.
Location is about as good as it gets. Steps from Charles Bridge in one direction and Prague Castle in another. Many restaurants and shops nearby. A tram stop is about a block away with several lines running through. Hotel rooms are nice with super spacious and modern bathrooms. Staff were all friendly and very helpful. We will definitely stay here again!
loved our stay here. The hotel is beautiful, and so spacious, and charming. We loved the old world charm of the room and building as a whole. It is also so centrally located. 5 minutes walk to charles bridge, and to prague castle. Great value for money. So worth it. Would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to stay here.
Central location close to Prague castle, but still quiet. Requires climbing up a hilly road. Breakfast was good and overall the hotel vibe generally very nice. A good mid-priced hotel for people who want to explore central Prague, particularly good for couples (a bit less for families with kids)
We enjoyed the location of Hotel Kampa. It was in a quiet neighborhood and very convenient to Prague Castle and Charles Bridge. The dining room was stunning and the the breakfasts gave us a good start to the day. The room was a nice size with a very updated bathroom.

Nice hotel, very close to the Prague castle.
To make the most of the local culture go by foot, Prague Airport Transfers offer free walking tours to transfer customers, however be mindful that Prague Castle is a good hike uphill but well worth the visit especially for the views over the city. Local beers are a must try and much less expensive than imported brands. If using the Metro system, be sure to validate your ticket.
Charles bridge, John Lennon wall(and pub) and the Prague castle are all must sees. Also taken the walk up the astronomical clock is well work 100kc for the views.
The Jewish quarter is well worth exploring - get the all in one ticket and spend a few hrs there. Very emotive at times. Prague castle also is a must, walk up to it through the gardens - beautiful
Very historic monuments, well kept, my favourite Jewish Town. In Prague castle you can relate to nei gothic, gothic, Renaissance type of building in one courtyard. History well kept.
Prague castle is fascinating and the architectue everywhere is worth seeing.
We did the hop on hop off tour. Found a better deal with a leaflet lying around the information centre... Took it to the main hop on and off tour guides by the Madame Tussaud's museum who matched the price and threw in a free Prague castle tour which was amazing! Highly recommended.
