We stayed here for four days at the end of January 2026. This hotel has new owners. It's definitely improved. Everything is very well taken care of. The staff is very friendly, and the food was delicious. We definitely recommend this hotel. We'll definitely be back.

A very quiet hotel, full of charm, right in the centre of Todtnau, with easy bus links to lovely hikes that are well marked. Very clean and comfortable, with a lovely breakfast each morning. The staff are helpful and very responsive. Tourist office is very helpful. Todtnau is a very charming town with lots of dining options, but definitely check out the Bella Italia restaurant in this hotel.

The staff were extremely helpful and were so accommodating. The food was exceptional, with lots of choice. As we were staying for a few nights, it was a great touch having a free travel card to use. We were able to use this to visit Freiburg via train, which was easy and a nice way to get to see the beautiful landscape without the worry of navigating the city with our bikes! We were also able to get a discount using our card when we booked to go to the alpine coaster at Hassenhorn, which was awesome fun!!

Very nice hotel, friendly staff, attention to details, tasty breakfast, nice spa area, easy and convenient parking and super location. You get everything you need for your vacation. We will definitely come back!

The owners are super friendly and helpful. They always seem to have time for a quick chat and to give you some tips (even if your German is not that great). The hotel is located near the Feldberg, the Titisee and to many great hiking trails. The rooms are spacious and I even got an upgrade to one with a balcony. The breakfast is tasty and has everything you need. Highly recommended staying here!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The mountain views were absolutely breathtaking, and the fresh air was so pure it made us feel light-headed — in the best way! It’s incredibly beautiful here — peaceful, clean, and cozy. Breakfast was delicious, and the hosts were cheerful, friendly, and welcoming. We truly enjoyed every moment and already dream of coming back in winter for a ski holiday! Highly recommended! ⛰️❄️❤️

Property locations is awesome. The manager/owner Mr. Sharif is fantastic! Had great attitude, very welcoming, and went out of the way to visit the property at 9:00 pm just to let me in after I locked myself out of the room! Forever grateful for this gesture. The breakfast was well thought out, well laid, and right on time for us. The rooms are large and well appointed. The bathroom was HUGE!

A small boutique hotel in the heart of the Black Forest with the atmosphere of a hunter's cabin in the forest. Friendly and welcoming staff, excellent restaurant for dinner.

Great location and very nicely remodeled Black Forest House. Great host and as already mentioned excellent breakfast. Charging for electric vehicles available (at a premium price)

Absolutely everything! From the moment you arrive until departure, the hosts made me feel welcome and comfortable and at home. Everything is spotless clean, comfortable beds, sauna with a view, cosy restaurant and a great location for hikes. Breakfast is very tasty and if you stay there on the days they offer diner - it is a must as it is soooo delicious. Haven’t eaten that well in a long time.
