The location of this hotel is unbeatable. It sits high above Lake Nasser with beautiful panoramic views, and it’s only a two-minute ride to the Abu Simbel Temple entrance. The hotel even provides free golf buggies, which made visiting the temples so easy and relaxed. The staff were absolutely wonderful, friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely looked after. Our room was spacious, spotless, and elegantly decorated ( we also got a free upgrade). The bed was extremely comfortable, and small touches like toweling robes, complimentary drinking water, and a turn-down service made it feel really special. Everything looked brand new. The covered seating area outside our room was a lovely place to sit and read while looking out over the lake, and at night we also sat out there viewing the night sky ( great place for star gazing). The infinity pool was another highlight – the perfect place to cool off and take in the incredible views across the lake. The restaurant chef came out to meet us personally and cooked a delicious evening meal, which was such a thoughtful touch. For breakfast, we ordered fresh omelettes, which went perfectly with the selection of pastries, breads, yogurt, honey, and coffee. Staying overnight rather than doing a day trip was by far the best decision we made. It gave us the chance to enjoy the temples peacefully after the day visitors had gone and to return at sunrise, which was an unforgettable experience

The hotel is located very close to the magnificent temples. It's only a 15 minute walk there. It's a 10 minute walk to the busses and minivans to go back to Aswan. My room was cosy and clean, as was the bathroom. Comfy bed. There was a smart tv in my room, which worked well and is set up for watching Netflix and YouTube. The staff were helpful and kind. So are the local people. The staff will help you arrange a ticket to the night show and/or to the sunrise at the temples. The food in the restaurant was honest, very fresh and tasty fare. This a great hotel at which to relax. Abu Simbel is a place where time slows down. It's like a different country entirely to Egypt. I really recommend spending at least one night at this lovely little hotel.

Every thing. The hotel organised our travel arrangements from the airport, to the temple, to Sound and Light show and back to Aswan by car. It was expensive but everything ran smoothly. It was a relaxing, calm and organised stay due to the efficiency of management. Dinner and breakfast buffets were amazing. Staff were very professional, cheerful, welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend staying at this hotel if you need a break from hectic Egypt

Apartment styled hotel in family-like building with cosy rooms and tremendous hospitality by the host owner Mr Mohammad & the hotel staff. Ir is near to Abu Simbel temple (10-15 minutes leisure walk) or 3 to 5 mins drive. Breakfast is served with kind homely atmosphere. The hotel is located 1.1km nearby the Abu Simbel temple entrance ticket area (15mins casual walk) and hosted by the most friendliest, honest & hospitable down to earth owner in Egypt. We booked the Economy Double Room and it was really spacious similar to a master bedroom complete with private bathroom toilet, waldrobe cupboard, table and fridge. The beds and mattresses are really comfortable and thick and the 2 pillows provided per person is equally fluffy thick and soothing for an ergonomical good night's rest. We love staying in Sama Stars Hotel in Abu Simbel and the owner also offered guests an option to enjoy a sunset boat ride for USD$15 per person in Lake Nasser to experience a kaleidoscopic boat ride overlooking the lake and the majestic stone rock mountains nearby the temple. Breakfast is also provided complimentary in the room that we booked from bookingcom and the host really served a hearty breakfast of pastries, yogurt, cheese, bread, olives, scramble eggs, cucumbers and tomatoes mediterranean egypt style. Really recommend to stay here if you are at Abu Simbel as for only USD$60+ (bookingcom rate), we had a fulfilling stay and experience and comfort in Abu Simbel while visiting the famous UNESCO Abu Simbel Temple

The property itself was great. During the evenings, there's a chill atmosphere of simply sitting in their restaurant, enjoying the breeze, and being in a laid-back mode. Given how remote the place of Abu Simbel is, this is quite a good place to stay overnight with all the normal facilities one may need.

Everyone we met at the hotel were very kind and helpful. They arranged our transpotations between the airport and the hotel. The breakfast was very good! It was 20 minutes walk to Abu Simbel. We were able to get the tickets of sound and light show at the hotel. We got the recomendation of the restaurant for dinner. The next day we went to see the sunrise. We were so happy staying at this hotel!
