A beautiful hotel with exceptionally polite staff. From the very first moment, they took great care of us and fulfilled everything we asked for. The rooms were very comfortable, spotless, and offered a lovely view if you choose that option. The breakfast was always delicious. The view of pyramids, from the rooftop restaurant was amazing. They even prepared an amazing birthday surprise for my best friend and his husband, which made our stay even more special. I highly recommend it, it’s truly worth it!

They were very attentive, helpful, and understanding, the best hotel I have stayed in Garden City. The Reception Manger Mostafa, Mohamed, and Amr are the most helpful considerate and quick to correct anything regarding your stay there (from my experience). If there was any mistakes even later on the same day the issue will be resolved to your satisfaction. The building is located right next to a Bank, The National Bank of Egypt. There is a closely guarded area that is guarded with Special Egyptian Police Security Forces Units, not far from there. One of the best places ever to visit if you want to try it for yourself even once based my personal experience. Thank you, P.S. In the rooms there is a way to make sure that you didn't have any one enter while you were for example asleep, which very neat. The door on the inside has a turning lock, there is an extra quarter like turn that only you can do from the inside so that you are certain no else has entered here.

FAQs about hotels in Cairo

Resting Place of Pharaohs

Born of an ancient civilisation, Cairo is a vast metropolis centred around the Nile. Its sheer scale can feel overwhelming (especially when flying over it into Cairo Airport), so plan ahead. An obvious starting point are the Giza Pyramids. Although the pharaohs are long gone, the grandeur of their burial pyramids, the Sphinx and Solar Boat are testament to their ambition.

The city’s Egyptian Museum houses a dazzling display of ancient Egyptian artefacts, including finds from Tutankhamun’s tomb in Luxor. Around the corner is Tahrir, a huge square and focal point of the 2011 Egyptian Revolution.

East is Islamic Cairo, home to 9th-century Ibn Tulun Mosque, Al-Azhar Mosque (site of the world’s oldest university), and the Khan el-Khalili souk – remember to haggle. The Citadel, with its elegant Mohammed Ali Pasha Mosque, sits on a hill offering far-reaching city views.

If you want to step out of cultural tours, take a Nile cruise by felucca, spot wildlife in Wadi Digla desert park or visit Egypt’s top theme parks: Dream Park and Magic Land, where you can tour Egyptian TV studios.

Before heading to your Cairo accommodation, sample the local cuisine – the falafel and fuul (bean paste) are delicious. Turkish coffee is a staple and there are hundreds of shisha bars, while major Cairo hotels have bars serving alcohol.

This is a crazy, noisy and dusty metropolis - constantly surprising and sometimes a little shocking. We were here during an Eid celebration, which made for a little extra chaos..... but added to the visit. (Sacrificed animals - noisy mosques and street decor too!) If you are nervous on the roads, DON'T watch while your taxi takes you around. Pyramids - AMAZING>... The new Grand Egyptian Museum EXCEPTIONAL

i loved Cairo - I had 5 days which wasnt enough time to do everything but long enough as it was very hot there in mid May. I would not recommend doing the Pyramids and GEM in one day as its too much. If time allows I would say do it on separate days although if you are staying in Cairo allow an hour there and back. There is no public transport to either site

Typical African city, dirty and not well kept.

Typical African city, dirty and not well kept. Extremely over populated and no city planning. Infrastructure is lacking for tourism. Most Uber drivers try to scam you to rather pay in cash (5 times more than via the app). The street scammers are intense around tourist areas and street vendors/taxi drivers harass tourists to buy from them without stopping to ask, especially at the Sphynx gate in Giza. The new Egyptian museum was a huge waste of time. They oversell its value on marketing and media platforms and when you get there it is exceptionally underwhelming. Yes, the building is impressive, but the exhibition is poorly executed. Definitely not planned around tourism at all. Then the pyramids. On media and marketing materials the picture is much more different than in real life. False advertising to say the least. The camels and horses are not well looked after. This borders on animal abuse. No water in the cribs for the animals. Their skin is sticky from dirt and and they are exhausted. Then we had a "5-star Nile cruise" they call it. What a disgrace! Not a cruise, but a 3 hour circle and torture on water. Terrible food, even worst entertainment with a blaring guy with a goat voice making noise unbearably loud. It felt like it would never end. I was in Cairo for 4 days. On the first day I experienced all the above, the next three days I spent inside the hotel and enjoyed the spa and the poolside. But for this, I would rather spend money for an island holiday instead. Would I recommend any one to visit Cairo, not in a million years.

Our experience in Cairo was truly unforgettable.

Our experience in Cairo was truly unforgettable. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. From the locals to the drivers, tour guides, hotel staff, and shop owners, people treated us with so much warmth and respect, which made the trip even more enjoyable. Of course, like anywhere else, we came across one or two unpleasant people, but they honestly made up about 0.2% of our entire experience, so it didn’t take away from how amazing the trip was at all. Overall, Cairo gave us beautiful memories, wonderful hospitality, and an experience we would gladly relive again.

The main thing is understanding the Egyptians.

The main thing is understanding the Egyptians. Extremely friendly kind people. At the markets they try to sell you their product, some Feel like they're being harassed. If you change your thinking, you'll realize they're just trying to make a living. If you smile and ignore them, they will leave you alone. No, thank you, opens up conversation. If you want something to purchase, definitely negotiate way down. A lot of the products are made in China consumer aware. For genuine products go to government markets. Again they are just trying to make a living, tipping $50 Egyptian pounds, is less than a $1 USD. Yes, they expect t for doing the smallest chore for you. You will be rewarded ten-fold for just giving them 50 EGP. Not only from their smile and genuine gratitude but they will bend over backwards to help you or take you into Sites that tourists are not allowed to go. For an incredible experience, hire an award-winning Egyptologist, like Mayer Magdy at www.Mayertours.com and his team (Marian at Luxor is outstanding). He has a way of teaching, storytelling that will make ancient times come to life. Many tour guides will give you false info. Uber is cheap and reliable compared to hotel transportation.

Personally I’m not a Cairo city person.

Personally I’m not a Cairo city person. I find the roads hair raising, to say nothing of cleanliness, but staying in Giza you feel a bit removed from that plus the pyramid site and the GEM are very well maintained and free from litter.

Our last night in Egypt was spent in this hotel after a full bore "trains, boats and automobiles" tour of Egypt. After a hectic 6 days, it was the ultimate pleasure to stretch out on a sunbed and relax. The Buffet breakfast was an international feast, the best meal for a week. Staff throughout were courteous, attentive and efficient. bizarrely drinks whilst expensive were cheaper than the Novotel next door (an old haunt). The airport shuttle out was timely on departure and quick to get to our terminal.

The location was good. The hotel is located in the downtown area of Giza, where you can see the new Egyptian Museum from the roof, as well as the pyramids and Mount Giza, next to all local and international restaurants. There was also a pharmacy and a supermarket a few steps away from the hotel gate. I advise you to arrange this with the hotel management because they have sufficient experience in this matter. I do not advise arranging it online. They have the best.
