The hotel is on one level of a building. It was a little daunting when we first pulled up to the building but as soon as we got inside the hotel itself was lovely. It is a new establishment, comfortable beds and the best part was the view from our bedroom and restaurant upstairs. I highly recommend the Moroccan Lamb! Delicious 😊 Youssef was a great help finding us a taxi into Cairo after a long day of touring. I recommend this hotel

The breakfast was disappointing. The eggs and bread were served cold. Could have been more creative in terms of varying breads/cheese...we were never served feta cheese...no variety in fruit served. Sorry this is stuff I didn't like.!!!! There was no prominent sign indicating the hotel on the street!!!

Good location just a street away from the pyramids entrance. The view from the rooftop is superb. You can piecefully enjoy the view of the pyramids better than even inside the area. Very clean. Staff was very nice and helpful. Highly recommended.

My stay at this hotel was nothing short of extraordinary. From the very first moment I arrived, I felt welcomed with a level of attention and genuine kindness that immediately set the tone for an exceptional experience. What truly distinguishes this hotel is the remarkable dedication of its staff. Throughout every stage of my stay, they followed me with extraordinary care, ensuring that every detail was perfectly arranged and that my comfort was always the highest priority. Their professionalism, warmth, and constant attentiveness made me feel not simply like a guest, but like someone genuinely valued. The team anticipated needs before they even arose, responding with efficiency, elegance, and discretion. Every interaction reflected a true culture of hospitality, refined, thoughtful, and consistently impeccable. It is rare to encounter such a seamless combination of luxury, comfort, and heartfelt service. Thanks to this incredible staff, my stay became far more than just a visit to a hotel — it was a truly memorable and outstanding experience. Without hesitation, I can say this is one of the finest hospitality experiences I have ever had, and I look forward to returning.

FAQs about hotels in Cairo

Resting Place of Pharaohs

Born of an ancient civilisation, Cairo is a vast metropolis centred around the Nile. Its sheer scale can feel overwhelming (especially when flying over it into Cairo Airport), so plan ahead. An obvious starting point are the Giza Pyramids. Although the pharaohs are long gone, the grandeur of their burial pyramids, the Sphinx and Solar Boat are testament to their ambition.

The city’s Egyptian Museum houses a dazzling display of ancient Egyptian artefacts, including finds from Tutankhamun’s tomb in Luxor. Around the corner is Tahrir, a huge square and focal point of the 2011 Egyptian Revolution.

East is Islamic Cairo, home to 9th-century Ibn Tulun Mosque, Al-Azhar Mosque (site of the world’s oldest university), and the Khan el-Khalili souk – remember to haggle. The Citadel, with its elegant Mohammed Ali Pasha Mosque, sits on a hill offering far-reaching city views.

If you want to step out of cultural tours, take a Nile cruise by felucca, spot wildlife in Wadi Digla desert park or visit Egypt’s top theme parks: Dream Park and Magic Land, where you can tour Egyptian TV studios.

Before heading to your Cairo accommodation, sample the local cuisine – the falafel and fuul (bean paste) are delicious. Turkish coffee is a staple and there are hundreds of shisha bars, while major Cairo hotels have bars serving alcohol.

This was our second trip to Egypt.

This was our second trip to Egypt. We were in Egypt this time for over two weeks that included hotel stays in Luxor and Aswan along with Nile River. We did not travel with a tour group except for the four days on Nile River. We hired a guide and or driver to get us around. They were all helpful did a great job and were kind. The food, hotels, service was good to very good and it was not expensive Where we stayed and ate was always clean and service very good. All of the history and historical sites are amazing, Where ever we went we felt the people were friendly. However, the many taxi drivers were annoying if you tried to go for a walk. They wanted you to use their taxi service and had difficulty excepting you just wanted to walk. That was the same where ever we went in Egypt. We used taxis a lot in Egypt as we do not have their driving skills. We have travel almost all over the world and Egypt has wonderful and kind people. It is the home of some of the most amazing sites in the world.

We didn't go on an organized tour.

We didn't go on an organized tour. I did the planning and each day we ventured out on our own. We spent six days in Cairo in total, which was enough for me. Cairo is a HUGE city, and there are challenges. Prices can be cheap if you are willing to barter - for almost everything. You need to accept you will NOT get the same price that locals do, but most prices are still very inexpensive compared to western countries. Street restaurants are fun if you're willing to try local food. Service can be good or terrible - we got some of both. More expensive restaurants usually provided better service, but to me it did not seem authentic or really Egyptian. If you can do both, sample authenticity, but comfort yourself on occasion. Traffic is a nightmare, especially if you want to go anywhere on foot. No walk down any commercial street, especially in tourist areas, will come without constant requests to buy something from a street vendor or step into their shop. Anything that is done for you will come with a request for a small tip. I usually tipped £10-20, which won't stop them from asking for more. Most taxi drivers are good after you have negotiated a price but a few will attempt to convince you that they desperately need more at the end of the ride – hold firm! On the plus side people are friendly and will treat you very well, whether you got a great deal or they did. Mostly though the treasures that are worth seeing are REALLY, REALLY worth seeing. Everyone knows the pyramids and the sphinx, but try to take in the Citadel of Saladin, the Islamic Art Museum the Grand Egyptian Museum and the old National Egyptian Museum (leave a few days between so you are not overwhelmed). The new Grand Museum is spectacular so if you are a fan of history, take in the National Museum first, which still has some pretty great artifacts and then be amazed at the incredible Grand Museum.

Visiting the pyramids of course was the primary reason for traveling to Cairo. Also, the Grand Egyptian Museum is a must see! Do yourself a favor and visit one of their many bazaars. We booked a driver from the airport to the hotel and had him drive us for the remainder of our stay.

Islamic & Coptic Cairo , Khan el Khalili market wer very nice to see. Cairo is a truly fascinating city with an incredible mix of history, culture, and everyday life. One of the most impressive aspects of the city is its rich historical heritage. Visiting the pyramids and the Egyptian museums is an unforgettable experience and gives you a deep appreciation of Egypt’s ancient civilization. The city is very lively and full of energy, with busy streets, local markets, and many places to explore. The food is delicious and affordable, and the locals are generally welcoming and friendly to visitors. However, Cairo can also be quite chaotic at times. Traffic is very heavy, the streets can be noisy, and moving around the city may require some patience. Despite this, the unique atmosphere and the historical landmarks make it a destination that is definitely worth visiting. Overall, Cairo is a city that leaves a strong impression and offers a memorable travel experience.

Currency is a problem.

Currency is a problem. Don't get too many EQPs, as most tourist places will not accept them. They insist on foreign exchange, using credit card or Web purchase. The Metro is good for getting about the central area and to the Coptic area. People offered me a seat. Getting to/from GIZA and GEM is tricky for a single traveller, but I managed using low cost (300/400 EGP) street taxis (with haggling). Choosing a specific taxi is quite stressful. I judged street taxi journeys were comparatively risky due to the limited traffic rules, but it does transfer money directly to the people. Disappointing choice of acceptable evening eating places. As ever, a good holiday relied on a good hotel in a good location.

Sara is an amazing and welcoming host. She is a thoughtful and caring host who ensured we had a best time in Cairo during our stay. She even went an extra mile to pick my partner from the airport at 3 am. We had a room with pyramids view and the sunset truly was a cherry on the cake.
