We very much enjoyed our stay at Le Pelican, a pleasant six minute walk from the old town of Annecy. The room was very clean and comfortable. Hotel staff were attentive to our request for a quieter room when we found our initial room overlooked a metal walkway to the front patio, which was pretty noisy. Lauren, at the front desk, was very friendly and helpful and suggested a couple of very good restaurants in the old town. We found a taxi from a train station taxi stand and a return trip via the “Bolt” app rideshare (suggested by someone at the hotel) to be better cheaper and faster than Uber. Breakfast was definitely worth including in the room rate, as they had ample self-service breakfast offerings in their lovely “O Bon Bec” gourmet bistro space which in nice weather would appear to include access to the outdoor patio. The hotel has a convenient space off the lobby where a local artisan bakery sells bread, sandwiches, pastries and beverages. Amazing experience. Hotel is located in the heart of this gorgeous city. Attention to the details. Modern. We enjoyed everything there. Staff were very friendly. Restaurant downstairs just excellent.

The hotel failed to provide us with a twin room but the reception staff rang around other local hotels to find a hotel that had an available twin room and cancelled our stay at the mercure without charging us at all. I was stunned by this - I just thought i had an uphill battle ahead of me finding a twin room for the night in a full annecy. Brilliant by reception
