Comfortable and exceptionally clean

I really liked the hotel (even Toulouse Lautrec, the painter, stayed here, as I found out from a leaflet :)). The room was large and stylishly decorated, clean and comfortable. Very kind lady owner. The breakfast was fair but dinner was plentiful (4 courses) and tasty, excellent value for money.

Traveling as a parent alone with two young boys. Hotel Alphee was superb! The staff were very helpful and friendly, we felt very safe and comfortable. Highly recommend.

It is at the end of a very rural and stunningly beautiful valley. Only walkers went beyond. The hosts were lovely, the breakfast perfect and supper nice to have as it would be half an hour down the valley to find a restaurant. It’s by a beautiful river surrounded by beech woods and views up to the snow capped Pyranees.

Authentic location and charming inside

Nice typical old style hotel but modern, located in the town center mear restaurantes and shops with on street parking nearby.

Unique place, relaxed and informal as can be. Kids and pets very welcome, lots of activities for both, adults included. The mountains are gorgeous for walks, biking, cycling... Perfect strangers meet at diner, as the long table gets people together. Shows and music, also. My second time and for sure I'll be coming back.

Very helpful staff, fabulous location. They let me park my motorcycle right outside our room. Great food in the restaurant..

Cozy, warm, friendly, comfortable

Easy to find and park, very comfortable bed, good breakfast and wonderful location in the town centre but with views of the mountains.

A gorgeous property with a lovely combination of stately ageing and all modern necessities. Although it is worn in some respects, this adds character. The location is very good for exploring the town on foot, and a room with a view of the cathedral and square is particularly nice.

We enjoyed this very charming hotel with friendly staff. We loved the view from our window (mountains!) and the area downstairs where we could make our own tea and play board games.

This was the best meal I've had in France during my one month stay here. The owners are lovely and deeply care about all aspects of the property - which they built from the ground up. The location is superb, just walking distance from the chair lifts. The room is very comfortable with a stunning view of the mountainside. I fell asleep listening to the flowing stream and in the afternoon and delighted to hear the cowbells of the local grazing animals. What a delight will definitely return and hope to do so every year!

We spent one night at this hotel and both found it was one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in large or small anywhere in the world. Truly exceptional. The service is top class. The restaurant was friendly and served excellent food. The room was beautifully appointed and completely clean. The staff were both efficient and friendly and found out within minutes whether the nearby road over the Col de Tourmalet was open when we had failed to find the information ourselves.

Location in a village without any facilities, but beautiful nature. Not too expensive.
