This is a big concrete jungle with no character. It is located in an awful part of town and we didn't feel safe at all. Best avoided. We visited Ibrox Stadium(home of Rangers FC) later that day and were not disappointed. It was also easy to get to on the Glasgow tube which took us right there. It just oozes class and lived up to all our expectations. Loved the brick facade and entrance and also the trophy room. Very warm reception from the guide.
It was just amazing to go and watch Celtic play. Coming from Ireland. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Hotel got the tickets, they were so helpful. My son was so jelious I got there before him..loved all the singing. Just brilliant.
Location was perfect, surrounded by everything you need. We ate at La Lanterna, a stunning Italian right across the road and spent the day browsing around the town. We got a 20 minute bus to Celtic Park and did a tour and then went back towards the hotel and played some indoor mini golf and browsed the many shops in the town. The location was amazing and the stay was very pleasant. Staff helped us with everything we needed and the rooms were very cosy.
Local was perfect for our Celtic park tour
It has all the diversity (and more) that you would expect to find in any major British city. However, the extra Scottish dimension offers more in terms of food items, literature and sporting enthusiasm - a game at Celtic Park is an experience.
