I loved this hotel - it has a lot of character. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was very grateful to the duty manager for kindly carrying my suitcase up two flights to my room and bringing it down again when I left. The room was spacious and had everything I needed. Breakfast was very good and generous. I also ate at the hotel in the evenings and the food was again very good with plenty of choice. The location was excellent for getting to local sights such as Charlestown (a 2 mile walk), Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, and Mevagissey (all these by local bus).

If travelling by bus from St Austell.

If travelling by bus from St Austell. Check the times at the bus station by the train station. They are not very frequent. Also to get the bus back go to banana car park at Eden. Not very well sign posted Eden project is lovely. Don’t go when kids are off if you don’t like crowds

On a hot day I would recommend starting in the rain forest dome because it gradually gets hotter & hotter. There is a little cool down section I assume with AC, if it all becomes too much. Don't miss the Core zone

I felt that older people have to be warned about the amount of walking involved in a visit to the Eden Project. Even getting to the main entrance from the car park is quite a distance. As it was a particularly hot day, we were exhausted and I explained that I could not walk back to the car park as my feet were sore. So, to our relief a lovely young girl came to our rescue and drove us in a buggy back to the car.

We loved the Eden project, it was so interesting.

We loved the Eden project, it was so interesting. Allow plenty of time to saunter and wear something light and cool especially on a sunny day. In the tropical biome there is a water fountain where you can fill a bottle of water and a cool room half way up.

I go every time I visit Cornwall.

I go every time I visit Cornwall. It is a stunning place to immerse yourself in. So much beauty, incredible planting, views, learning opportunities and activities. The Food Area is fantastic with a wide range of delicious food to chose from. The Biomes are stunning, you need to dress to accommodate the high temperatures inside & fully enjoy the totally immersive experience of the Rainforest & Mediterranean. I always go on the train, there is a shuttle bus to Eden from there & back but there are extensive carparks ranged round the site.Definitely an experience not to be missed!

We stayed in St Austell to be near the connection for The Eden Project and this property was only a short walking distance down the hill from that location. The apartment has been renovated and has a clean and modern feel with all the amenities we needed. The hosts were on hand when we had an issue with the hot water which we greatly appreciated. The apartment is also within easy walking distance to a nice 'English' style pub and supermarket.

The location was perfect for a trip to the Eden Project and to walk the South West Coast Path. The hotel/pub was really well decorated and the room had everything we needed. Despite being really rushed off their feet, staff were friendly and helpful which made the whole stay great. Breakfast on the terrace in the morning overlooking the harbour was really special. We booked to attend an event at the Eden Project but we will be back, just for the hotel.

Parking access was good. Electric Car chargers available onsite if needed. Lots of space inside and outside the hotel, it felt very relaxed and airy. Used the Spa and Outside swimming pool which was a great feature of the Hotel. Coastal path walk available at the rear of the Hotel, so we went down to the beach and explored the area from there. Close to Charles Town, Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan and Mevagissey, so lots to see and do in a few days, it was great.

Quiet location. Sea view. Toilets were close by. Very close drive to the Eden Project. Staff were very friendly and provided excellent communication. The staff were excellent in assisting with the path on the field due to rain downfall. The price of the stay was decent as we just needed a little place to stay for the weekend rather than a hotel and this was perfect.

Fabulous location - easy access to the small beach and a pleasant walk into Charlestown harbour which offers a good choice of bars and restaurants. It was easy to get to local attractions eg The Eden Project, Mevagissey & Lanhydrock . We also travelled to Minack theatre. The apartment was well equipped , in a lovely quiet area & furnished & maintained to a high standard. There are also two balconies to sit out on.
