We had a room with private pool and it looks better, than at photos. We stayed in October and the water was quite cold, but we still were able to swim a bit. Breakfasts are tasty and freshly made. Staff is extremely helpful, we received a map with recommendations what to see and where to eat. Location is good, if you're travelling by car it's perfect.

Nafplio is a place to visit as it is beautiful! The hotel is located in the centre of the city, next to the market and very close to the sea (10 minute-walk), the room was fantastic and the breakfast with a super view on the Fortress of Palamidi:)

Considering the place is a 2-star hotel, I was expecting a somewhat dank room, just a bed comfortable to sleep in and a private place to wash up, old dilapidated furniture, nothing more. I was pleasantly surprised when I got to the hotel, the building was old, yes, but not in a dirty way, it had more of a worn, quaint feel to it. The room was vintage but recently re-modeled and the bathroom was in great condition for a 2-star hotel. What surprised me the most was that there was even a room cleaning service while gone, I wasn't expecting my bed to be made and new towels to be provided daily at such a budget place. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here for anyone who is solo-budget traveling.

Bourtzi

This imposing fortress was built by the Venetians in the 15th century to protect Nafplio from marauding pirates. It’s a bespoke building job, measured to fit the space on the tiny island of Bourtzi. While it’s impressive, it can’t hold a candle to nearby Palamidi – so make sure you visit Bourtzi first!

Must see castle (best in Greece and we’ve been to many) and...

Must see castle (best in Greece and we’ve been to many) and the Bourtzi on catwalk in sea was very cool, especially inside. Consider the boat trip to Sapienza which leaves from small dock within 200 meters and only costs €15 round trip.

Space in the room was quite tight but the outdoor terrace was very large and had great views of Palamidi Fortress, Acronafplia and also partial views of Bourtzi Castle & the sea. Special mention of the super comfy bed :-) Breakfast was delicious and made to order. The staff, esp the ladies preparing breakfast, were very friendly. Location was very good and within walking distance of most of Napflio's attractions. There's free parking in the port area, within 4 min walk to the hotel.

The hotel building is impressive—a beautifully renovated historic structure. The staff was friendly and welcoming, especially Agapi, who was absolutely lovely. We were upgraded to a sea-view room, which was amazing: spacious, clean, stylishly designed, with a direct view of Bourtzi. The bed was extra wide and super comfortable, and the bathroom was fully equipped. Excellent and powerful air conditioning. Nafplio is stunning, with charming stone alleys and boutique shops

Pension Marianna was an amazing place to stay and all the staff were really helpful and friendly. Our room had great views of the town, Palamidi castle & across the bay. It’s in the old town so very close to everything, but is still very quiet. Great breakfast. Nafplio is a lovely place to stay as there is so much to do, including a path around the bay & beyond for lovely swimming, interesting castle with great views, boat trip to Bourtzi Castle, Epidavros etc

Staff was really helpful, accommodating and welcoming. They also reccommended some nice places for proper Greek food. Really enjoyed the little balcony that faced the small beautiful streets of Nafplio. Room was clean, great location, close to the Palamidi fortress' stairs (if you can, don't miss it and go by car!), the squares and the port to get the ferry for Bourtzi fortress.

This beautiful appartement is great if you want to explore Nafplio. Located only a few minutes walk from Syntagma square and just in front of the port, this place combines comfort with wonderful views to the Bourtzi castle and the bay. The communication with the host was spotless, Vasiliki was really kind and helpful. We would really suggest it.

Excellent location, by the waterfront of Nafplio. Our room looked over the sea to the famous Bourtzi Castle. The view was just stunning and the water was calm. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, with the usual amenities. We had a very good dinner at the hotel’s Noa Verde restaurant which I will recommend that you try. Efi at the front reception was friendly and helpful. Overall we had a wonderful and relaxing stay in Nafplio.

Perfect location to walk to all Nafplio’s attraction. We had a room with a balcony and side sea view, with a view of the Bourtzi fort, it couldn’t have been better. We were there 3rd week in October so Nafplio was fairly quiet, although the hotel was busy. Huge comfortable bed, great buffet breakfast, hot shower and spacious room. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
