Incredible location in the Fjord with a very historical old world feel you can’t find in many places. This hotel was like a walk back in time but with some modern convenience. Rooms are very clean and comfortable with friendly accommodating staff We arrived late for dinner and they stayed a bit longer for us.

Classic, vintage luxury. Historic building set upon beautiful grounds. The Hughes family owners & operators are amazing. This hotel has been family owned and operated since the 1960’s, and those decades of care and experience have enabled both Brian and Ronan to extend a wonderful experience guests. Food (Breakfast) and Dinner (ordered ala carte off the lunch menu ahead of time) was excellent. Loved the honor bar for cocktails. Loved the cozy rooms and warm fires in the fireplace. Loved being able to take a short walk around the property on an established trail. Room was very comfortable. Staff was very attentive and accommodating - highly recommend!

    Host was lovely. Apartment had everything you need for a self-catering stay. A lovely 5 minute walk to the ocean, 10 minute drive to town and 15 minute drive to Kylemore Abbey. Bed was incredibly comfortable and the view was lovely and peaceful.

    We loved the home cooked meals that were served with so much individual attention by our hosts. The location near the beach and an easy drive to Kylemore Abbey and Connemara National Park we’re perfect for us.
