The decision to do the galleria (combo) was somewhat difficult. To justify the additional cost, and after reading reviews that suggested buildings become blurry at that height. I can confirm that although impressive at 450 meters, it did not feel more special than at 350 meters. The definition of the city became diminished at that height. However, the separate elevator did add to the experience. If you are likely to get FOMO, just book the combo (if not, you will pay a premium there). If you cannot justify paying more than necessary to enter - take comfort knowing your aren't missing out on too much.
Tokyo Skytree has the highest observation decks in the city, but that is basically all. It can become very crowded and it is quite far from most interesting places. I enjoyed the outdoor observation platform of Roppongi Hills Mori Tower much more for example and other nice observation decks are even free.
Well worth a visit - day or night this place is perfect. We went both in the morning, then came back at night to see Tōkyō in lights. Pay the extra cost for the 450m access - the views are spectacular. Keep an eye out for the lifts - we saw all 4, a beautiful touch to the experience.
So amazing, the staff, the deck the view so amazing,i love it !!!i really appreciate the staff they help me coz i dont have my voucher, they are really amazing team of skytree!! I give 10👍🏻 And 10smiley😀
Plan more time for this attraction - there is an exhibition area on the 5th floor with hi-tech and local exhibits and shops, there is also a nice food hall. Luckily I had time to mooch around and enjoy a lot of the parts of this building, not only the obligatory visit to the highest viewing point in Tokyo. As magnificent as this is (and there is a fine dining Japanese restaurant there that might be worth while your evening), I equally enjoyed exploring the other parts of the building, especially the DoCoMo show and the Sumida City special traditional crafts court.
Tokyo
The location is perfect - 30 minutes walking from Asakusa and Tokyo Skytree, 10 minutes away from Ryogoku station (connected to both subway and JR lines), so direct connection to many popular locations in Tokyo. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe even at night, there are 2 conbini (Lawson, Family Mart) literally on the other side of the street. The owners are the perfect hosts - extremely nice and helpful, and you can speak in English with no issues. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, same as for the shared spaces.
Very cheap hotel close to tourist sites with a little bit of walking. Front desk worker was helpful he spoke good English and even called us a taxi and made sure the driver took us to the right Train station! The cleanest hotel rooms I have been in with a good view of Tokyo Skytree. Highly recommend!
The location was really good! We love the neighborhood because it was not so busy but close enough to the Asakusa station, bus station, convenience stores, supermarket, restaurants and even a jazz bar though we did not get to visit it. Plus it had a great view of the Tokyo Skytree,
We had a room facing tokyo skytree....i was very greatful and lucky. We had the highest floor. Next time visit tokyo we will book this hotel. The surrounding is also very good. The room is big for 3 people and still have space for our big luggages
Great location next to the station. Room was small but that is to be expected for Tokyo. Very comfy bed and helpful staff. Fantastic city view from the room -- I could even see the top of Tokyo Skytree, which was a nice bonus.
Location is great. Cross one road and you're at Tokyo Skytree which has anything you could need. The sister hotel next door has a great grocery store on the first floor which is a good stop if you're jet lagged.
The rooftop provides a food selfie spot in front of the Tokyo Skytree. It's within walking distance to a subway line. Asakusa is 2 stops over on one line. Staff was able to receive luggage that was delivered.
the location and facilities was perfect and the best but the rooms were quite small for me to walk around. i like best that my room has view of the tokyo skytree.
Tokyo
The location is a 10 minute walk from the station. The location is just a few stations away from Tokyo Skytree which was very convenient and accessible.
