This was our second stay at Pestana Dom Jao II and it was truly excellent. Breakfast was beautiful each morning and there was plenty of everything. The cleaners here do such a thorough job and and very polite and kind. All of the facilites are well maintained and the staff are very good at their job.

It was such a lovely experience to stay in Longevity. There were lovely touches around the hotel - free locally produced fruit and cookies in reception; extra towels given to go to the beach or spa; beautiful essential oils burning in open areas and bedroom gave an instant feeling of calm and serenity. We felt we relaxed into our holiday from the moment we arrived in the hotel. There was a variety of classes every morning and afternoon which were included in the stay - the instructors and the classes were excellent - very professional and great fun. The quality and variety of the breakfast was amazing. The spa area was a wonderful retreat and the gym equipment was top quality and spotless. The staff were super helpful and friendly. We had a very early flight on our last day and they offered us a boxed breakfast to take with us as we would miss the regular breakfast. We both said we would love to return again.

Great beach.

Great beach. Go to the end of the beach, climb a few rocks and there are great caves to explore, The beach is more shallow and easier to swim, compared to the first part of the beach which is steeper with quick drop offs. You can bring your own umbrellas, chairs, and beach towels, and or overpay from a vendor on the beach. there is also a long ramp system that goes into town. A great walk for all. Also, saw a few bicycles.

This property is about a 7-10 minute walk to the beach, it is very clean, and the rooms are very nice. The staff was great and helpful especially Melissa at the front desk. There was a variety of food options for adults. Alvor beach is attached to a beautiful beach with rocky cliffs.

Alvor beach is a treasure. The beach itself is superb for early morning sunrise walks, boat rides, kayak adventures, walking through the cliffs in low tide, watching parachute jumpers, bike riding and more.
