Amazing hotel location on the lake surrounded by snowy mountains with a blue sky. Taking the cabletray to reach the hotel was astonishing. The staff was very welcome, and the food was great (especially the pancakes 😊). The night was so quiet and relaxing. Thank you for that moment 🙏

A very nice place to stay in the mountains. Extremely close by car to Lake Balea (about 15-20 min drive) and the highest part of Transfagarasan. Fresh air, comfortable beds and a peaceful atmosphere. There is a relatively large parking lot, sufficient for all guests. The hotel also has a restaurant where you can have dinner or lunch.

An exceptional destination. The attention to details is something to remember. Every element from the room and public spaces has been chosen with great care and this is visible throughout the entire resort. From the moment you enter the property you feel like you enter a different world in which you can relax and unwind. The sound of the river nearby is so therapeutic. We would be happy to come back and enjoy more days at Castelul de Lut.

Due to bad weather the cable car and road was closed. But the hotel arranged a free of charge booking at the Balea Waterfall hotel. So great service. And I think it would have been beautiful up there at the top. But due to the weather we could not go.

The place was very nice and quiet. It is pet friendly. You have all that you need. It’s close to Transfagarasan ( 18 min until the Balea Waterfall ). The house was very nice and clean and the price was very good.

The cottage is in a beautiful and quiet mountain area, close to the Bâlea Waterfall (Cascada Bâlea) (15 min by car) where the cable car starts, which takes you up to the Bâlea Lake. Very nice room, superb shower and bathroom, has a shared kitchen. It also has a porch with chairs to sit and relax and a grill area, which we did not use as it was winter. The host is very kind and helpful, they live in the house next to the cottage. It was a perfect stay.
