Absolutely fantastic hotel. I would consider no where else returning to Stockholm. The room was simple, and comfortable. Excellent quality toiletries provided. During our stay Stockholm was coated in snow and rarely did the air temperature exceed 0⁰. In contrast our room was a constant and comfortable temperature. The breakfast which is included in the stay is incredible value, and by far the best buffet breakfast I have ever had. The streaky bacon and triangles if french toast kept me going, my girlfriend was delighted with the healthier side of the offering as well. We intended to dine in the hotel once during our brief stay but ate their twice in light of the quality of the food. We had the haddock, artic char, and we both indulged the classic Swedish meatballs. All was delicious. The staff was incredibly courteous at all times, especially in the restaurant, our servers were amazing. Upon our departure at 6am we were greeted with a warm smile and complementary coffee to go, we couldn't have been more pleased. The location is amazing, in the very centre of stockholm. The island is beautiful and very secrene. We were delighted with all aspects of Hotel Skeppsholmen and intend to return should we ever be in Stockholm again.

The hotel takes you back to the 1930s. Beautiful interiors! Antiques combined with modernity and design. A huge plus is the availability of a coffee machine and the ability to brew delicious teas in stylish porcelain. About 18 minutes walk to Gamla Stan.

Stylish hotel in traditional maritime fashion. Well positioned, 15m walk from Central Station, would go again next time in Stockholm. Classic naval furniture and doors very authentic. 24h Tea and coffee downstairs were useful

I had only 1-full day trip in Stockholm. Yes!

I had only 1-full day trip in Stockholm. Yes! it was too short and Yes@ I would find time to revisit Stockholm. Vasa Museum consume 3-hour visiting. Every step in the museum was worth your time to deep your mind as if you would be in the Vasa Ship. All decorated / built inch of the Vasa Ship was extraordinary.

Better than expected!

Better than expected! The ship looks magnificent and there's a lot of info available even when you only get to look at it from the outside. The hall is huuge and quite cool (but not cold). Smaller normal backpacks were allowed. A combo ticket possibility to also access the Vrak museum nearby! There's a restaurant inside the Vasa museum, so you can stop to eat while exploring the ship. Highly recommend taking the communal SJ ferry 82 to the Djurgården island (where this Vasa museum, Gröna Lund and Skansen are located). It's a short sail trip and you get a cruise at the same time. Was very nice even in September. The ferry is included in regular SJ tickets.

Coming face to face with the ship is frankly staggering.

Coming face to face with the ship is frankly staggering. It is like something from Pirates of the Caribbean. Reading how the ship was raised and the conditions the team endured was fascinating. All in all a good half-day visit.

Wow! Just wow.

Wow! Just wow. Didn't expect much , but was pleasantly surprised and stayed for several hours. A whole wooden ship perfectly preserved, with lots of other historical exhibits. Impressive and unforgettable.

Fabulous location in what were military barracks, and it looks like that from the outside. Interior was very good, not 5 star, but the overall experience was excellent views, walks, ferry service, staff, breakfast and dinner were excellent. If you want a real Swedish experience that is quality, and different, this is it. Is on a small island, and the ferry ride into town is 10mins, or to the tourist island with the VASA museum, and ABBA. Wonderful way to travel. Zoo/aquarium is a must see with a great lemur exhibit.

The location was in the Old Town which was perfect for our visit. Also close to the ferry to the Vasa Museum, Skansen and Abba. The apartment was comfortable and spacious. Accessibility might be a problem for some, but not us
