It’s fun to walk over it and see the fishermen standing...

It’s fun to walk over it and see the fishermen standing there all day fishing. Night time is the best . You can also walk underneath the bridge, it’s full of restaurants that offers fish and seafood dishes. Great local experiences!

For sure is expensive to have a dinner there, but if you are...

For sure is expensive to have a dinner there, but if you are lucky enough to be there in different time of the day/week you will be able to enjoy also as place to appreciate the view of the beauty Yeni Cami mosque (and Agia Sofia, if you are really lucky) or the Galata Kulesi tower (you should definitely climb the Yuesk Kedirm street) or just to enjoy a stroll between the fisherman. Do not rush in. Is probably the best place to enjoy not just Istanbul, but your all journey. I do not find a place like this in all my travelling around Europe. Hope you enjoy it.

Yes, have the fish wrap but avoid buying chips. I still cannot believe my husband's plate of chips (as he does not like fish) cost us over €13. Daylight robbery. Also be prepared to be badgered by staff at each and every restaurant, who have virtually the very same menu.

Upper tier buzzy with trams and hundreds of locals fishing. Lower tier has many restaurants. We ate there twice (once very good and fair prices, the other OK food but ridiculously expensive). Moral is do careful research and check prices, especially fish and drinks. Some places are very pushy.

Avoid eating in one of these restaurants if you want to save your budget! Much better to try the experience of a fishbread on the nearby boats for as little as 50 turkish lira, a very live experience among local people. This makes the difference between a real voyager and a reach tourist

Location was perfect, very close to the Galata Bridge and Galata Tower. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. The breakfast room was on the top floor with a wonderful view of beautiful Istanbul. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the heart of the city.

Fabulous hotel with beautiful rooms. Quiet, comfortable and private. Great location with access to the Galata bridge and beyond. Staff attentive and welcoming. Enjoyed the breakfast for 3 mornings in the main hotel (a short walk) was the views from the rooftop restaurant were amazing and the selection was very good.
