Doruk Palas is a family-owned cosy hotel, tailored for an unforgettable tourist experience. It’s located in a safe neighbourhood in the heart of the city, almost at the doorstep of the Galata tower, and very close to public transport (Metro, Tram, Boat, Bus). Very convenient for exploring the sights of the City. From the first moment you enter Doruk Palas, you experience the warm Turkish hospitality, you have some Turkish tea, and you meet Osman, the lovely cat security-guard of the place. The owner, Ahmet, and the staff are very kind and helpful, they make you feel like home! Somebody is at the reception 24/7! We stayed in a room of 2, with all the amenities and a great view to the Golden Horn and the Skyline of Istanbul. We couldn’t believe that the rooms were exactly as shown in the pictures (see pics below to verify). Of course, everything was very clean! The Turkish breakfast, available until 10h30 (good if you’re a bit sleepy) was a good and tasty way to start the day. We liked a lot the variety of traditional savory spreads! From all aspects, staying at Doruk Palas was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had and I’m glad that for my future trips to Istanbul, I won’t need to search the entire internet for a place to stay, I know exactly where to go! Ahmet, Bilal, everyone, thank you!

Galata Tower

Medieval Galata Tower pierces the clouds above Istanbul’s skyline, a soaring sentinel to the north of the Golden Horn. A replacement for a previous tower that was destroyed in the crusades, this one was built by the Genoese in 1348. or hundreds of years, it was the tallest building in Istanbul – and its uppermost balcony still offers unrivalled city views today.

As a traveler, I found this place very attractive and enjoyable to visit. The atmosphere is pleasant and well suited for people who like exploring city locations and popular spots. It is easy to access and fits well into a city sightseeing plan. The area feels lively, interesting, and well organized, making it a good stop while visiting the city. My name is NIMAX, and as a tourist from France and Iran who travels around the world, I appreciate places like this that offer a positive and smooth visiting experience. Overall, it is a good place to visit and worth recommending to other travelers.

My favorite spot !

My favorite spot ! Always end up in that area at night , because it’s always busy, coffee shops are open after midnight! You can always hang out there ! I also love all the gifts shops in that area , good places to be souvenirs cheaper than the Grand Bazaar. You can also buy a ticket to go up the Galata Tower and see Istanbul on 360 degrees scale. Beautiful!!! But be prepared for the long line at the ticket window!

The staff was very friendly and helpful! Harun, Ahmet, Sedat and Sinan were always ready to provide us with assistance, information and support and made us feel comfortable and welcome during our entire stay. The restaurant on the 8th floor is amazing and I would recommend it to everyone! The hotel also has a really good location because you are a few minutes of walk away from the Galata tower on one side, as well as Karakoy and the tram station on the other side. So you can navigate around the notable locations with ease.

The apartment is great and has everything you need for a short-medium stay. The host responds the messages very quickly and solves everything as soon as possible. It’s reassuring to be able to rely on the host! You have the Galata Tower right outside the door, so you’re in the middle of action. If that’s what you’re searching for, this is the place. Taxis come and go easily early in the morning and late evening. I have nothing to complain and would stay again. Thank you for everything!

The hotel is very nice. It is very clean inside, and the staff are extremely polite and kind. The building is newly constructed. The food is also delicious. We stayed there as a group of three girls, and my friends liked it very much as well. If I come to Istanbul again in the future, I will definitely choose this hotel again. It offers good value for money and is centrally located, very close to Galata Tower. In short, I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

We decided to stay here because of it's location. It was central and made our trip easier. There are also many places to eat and drink near this hotel. Streets are very local, we felt local life style there but touristic parts were closeby such as Galata Tower, some palaces. And main famous Taksim area was just 2-3 minutes by walking.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Istanbul. The hotel is stylish, spotless, and perfectly located. Our room had a beautiful view of the Galata Tower, which made the experience even more special. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always helpful. Breakfast was varied and delicious, with plenty of options — and you can also order fresh menemen, pancakes, and other made-to-order dishes, which was a great touch. Thank you for having us — we would happily stay here again!

Absolutely yes! Istanbul is open restaurant. In every corner you can find perfect meal. Good to try fish restaurant in Bosphorous, or in Çiçek Pasajı. And also good to try restaurants in Maiden or Galata Tower with perfect city view. What it can be better than that!
