A great little hotel, just on the outskirts ut within easy walking distance of amenities. Good size room, very comfy bed. Great staff, all very chatty and helpful. Sauna and hot tub are a bonus

Good location. Free trolley stops in front of the motel. Couple of restaurants, bakery and laundry just opposite.Quiet and clean rooms. Couple of Hiker boxes at reception.

The room was small, dark, and dingy. It was well-cleaned, but not terribly comfortable or pleasant to be in, and did not even have a microwave. I would have expected far more for the prices. Though I booked at the Mammoth Mountain Inn, apparently the reservation was actually for a room at the Yodeler House or whatever the alternate/annex building is; perhaps the rooms are nicer at the main inn -- I would not know -- but I was charged just as much. It is EXTREMELY hard to get ahold of anyone there. There are several phone numbers which do not seem to work at all or give you any option to talk to a person; I finally found one line (I think it was the one they called me on when I did not arrive as early as I initially planned) on which I could actually get through to the Inn. Even then it was hard and I only found the magic combination through trial-and-error and a lot of panic: I had to call the first number which directed me to the ski area, then hit the extension for the ski area main desk, AND THEN ask the person at the desk to put me through to the Mammoth Mountain Inn. Even then it was a maddening search once I got there to find where to actually check-in, full of locked buildings and ambiguous instructions via phone from the desk agent. They were also inexplicably stingy with the possibility of late check-out, despite my having already gladly paid for several nights I did not even stay, due to travel difficulties delaying my arrival. The desk agent I first asked at night said it would likely be no "no problem" due to predicted low-occupancy (the end of one of the last weekends of the season), but when I asked in the morning as instructed the woman denied it, due ostensibly to the high volume of departures that day.

Location and spacious rooms. Check in and checkout staff members were friendly. Good for one - two days stay.

Great basic option. Right in the centre of town.
