The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. They provide superb customer service that is second to none. I had a very pleasant stay and can recommend this hotel because it’s clean, comfortable, very good value for money and the personnel look after the detail and make you feel like royalty. They know who you are and call you by your name the moment you step in the door and offer you refreshing beverage. They helped me with booking activities and taxi rides. The hotel is centrally located, close to tourist attractions in a busy area but it’s quiet at night so you can have a good sleep.

I loved riding around west lake visiting obscure coffee shops, playing cards and board games with friends. A beautiful sunset over the lake is amazing to capture. Along with a visit to the local temple. You also can’t pass up a local coconut (Kem) ice cream 🍦.

Its a big lake and everything around it are few and far between, we went there for lunch, found a nice mexican (of all things) and a nice park, a more authentic spot with markets but mainly is residential.

It is a nice walk from the Train Street if you don’t mind...

It is a nice walk from the Train Street if you don’t mind dealing with millions of scooters. First you stop at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and from there you have 15 minutes to get to the lake. You will walk through the very nice neighborhoods where most embassies seem to be located. There is a nice trail around the lake where you can observe local sport fishermen.

We didn't get to stay in the apartment that we booked as we were moved hours prior to arrival due to a "sewer issue". We were moved to a larger apartment in a nice location right on West Lake but this was ~5km away from Old Town. You always doubt whether the move was genuine but I think in this case the owners were trying to help.

Excellent location right in the middle of the old quarter of Hanoi and next to the famous lake. Fun rooftop bar and very friendly staff. The location of the old quarter is really very good. We also stayed in the West Lake area and we regretted that, compared to this location. Definitely a good area to be in.

Had great time at the Sono! The location of this hotel is perfect! It's walking distance to both hoan kiem lake and west lake. The staff was so friendly and helpful for us first time visitors. They showed us how to cross the streets, where to exchange money... We highly appreciate their arrangement for the trip to Bai Tu Long bay. The bay is a heaven on earth, beautiful mountains, blue water..

The host was very kind and friendly. My room was great, clean and had all the amenities I needed. The apartment is located near so many restaurants and cafes, serving local and international food. Ho Tay (The West Lake) is just less than 5 minutes walk, you can walk along the pavement or sit in one of the many cafes to enjoy the sight. There's also Winmart (convenience store) nearby should you need any daily necessities.

There is a timeless charm to this boutique hotel. If you are interested in architecture and design, you'll be delighted with the woodwork, the marbel floors, the small balconies, etc. Rooms and bathrooms had been upgraded to modern standards.
