We had a fantastic stay at Tivoli Boutique Inn! The hotel is stylish, spotless, and perfectly located near Tivoli Park and the city center. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the start. Our room was spacious, with a super comfy bed and a great shower. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. Overall, a perfect mix of comfort, convenience, and warm hospitality. I’d definitely stay here again!

The staff were incredible, and really friendly. The breakfast was varied and the coffee was super good! The location is one bus away from the centre. The option to rent a bicycle was also really useful. To top it all off, everything was spotless clean.

A Capital City with a Small Town Charm

The charming Slovenian capital, Ljubljana is the only large city in the country. Dominated by the Castle Hill with Medieval Ljubljana Castle on top, the city is a picturesque Balkan mix of architectural styles, romantic bridges and scenic views.

Due to two major earthquakes in 1511 and 1895, which destroyed many buildings, the Old Town features a range of styles: from Roman period, through Medieval Baroque to Vienna Secession. This trend exists throughout the city with many Gothic-style buildings featuring elements from different periods added later on.

Strolling along the Ljubljanica River you will see the Triple Bridge, connecting two parts of the centre and beautifully lit in the evenings. Make a stop at the Prešelen Square, Ljubljana’s most popular meeting point with Franciscan Church of Annunciation and one of the main shopping streets, Čop Street.

Ljubljana is a lovely city (small and cosy) and from there you can do some nice trips, e.g. to the caves or to lake Bled. Would I recommend Ljubljana to other people? No, I wouldn't. The prices were extremely high. I didn't expect that from Slovenia. If they continue with that, tourists will skip this country and select something else.

A relaxed, peaceful smallish city with a lot of history packed into it. Easy to get around and generally good value for money. Locals very helpful and friendly. Good food always available - unlike some other European Countries - and well priced and authentic.

Ljubljana is a beautiful and green capital city where everything is within walking distance. Two days in town was quite suitable, and the other two days we spent in Postojna Cave and the Lake Bled. Nature in Slovenia is magnificent.

A very beautiful city full of character and very warm and friendly people. Some excellent craft beer outlets and a a great range of restaurants to suit all tastes. We loved walking by the river enjoying the cafe's and bars and market stalls.

We only stayed for one day but it was the nicest city I have been too, so beautiful. Very green, great bike rental scheme €1 for a week! Really bike and pedestrian friendly, green, clean and great atmosphere.

We really enjoyed the nature and scenic views.

We really enjoyed the nature and scenic views. However, what we found quite unexpected for the capital of an EU country was the way public transport operates. For example, the company ARRIVE does not accept card payments—only cash. This is not a joke. As you can imagine, this significantly slows down boarding when traveling from the airport to the city or from the city to Lake Bled, with 40–50 passengers all needing to buy tickets directly from the driver, which creates quite a chaotic situation. For me, being born in the Soviet Union, it was not shocking to see people practically “competing” to board the bus first, but I assume many visitors would not expect this kind of experience. On the return journey, we decided not to take any risks and went to the airport by taxi instead.

The hotel was nice. Location was good for my work-related trip, but for tourist visit it can be too far from centre. A bus stop is just nearby with good connection to the city centre, also it was possible to have 30 minutes walk there Room was clean, warm, everything was good. Breakfast doesn't provide real variety, but was also nice

The hotel is located close to the city centre and the staff at the reception is kind and helpful. The price of the room includes a breakfast that is relativelly good. I have particularly appreciated the natural yogourt, the teas and the fact that there were fresh fruits. The access is easy.
