Breakfast was excellent. Coffee machine was free all day. The location is on the outskirts of Ljubljana but close to a big mall so you can enjoy a quiet place while having some nice evening time without driving anywhere and the location is great to avoid the hustle of the city center when traveling around Slovenia. Staff was really nice and helpful. Room was pretty big and comfortable.

A Capital City with a Small Town Charm

The charming Slovenian capital, Ljubljana is the only large city in the country. Dominated by the Castle Hill with Medieval Ljubljana Castle on top, the city is a picturesque Balkan mix of architectural styles, romantic bridges and scenic views.

Due to two major earthquakes in 1511 and 1895, which destroyed many buildings, the Old Town features a range of styles: from Roman period, through Medieval Baroque to Vienna Secession. Beautiful city, clean, friendly.

Beautiful city, clean, friendly. Everyone was very helpful and kind. Great attractions and good location for range of trips. Fantastic range of shops, restaurants, ice cream shops. Particularly enjoyed Museum of Illusions and Chocolate Museum with our three teenage/near teenage sons. Tourist Information great for advice. Ljubljana Card was good value for money for our group and encouraged us to visit different locations.

Beautiful, walkable city with plenty to keep all ages entertained. Fantastic array of eateries including some truly delicious entirely glutenfree restaurants and cafes. Easy access to other parts of Slovenia either by public transport or own car. We stayed a week but will definitely be back for more!

Ljubljana is a great walkable city, the food and beer are great and are at a reasonable price. We stayed in the Exe Lev hotel and it was right in the centre of everything. We took a cycling 3hr trip around the city and a trip to Lake Bled on a mini bus both were well worth it. The only negative thing is the public bus from the city to the airport, long queues at the ticket office and at the bus stop, they need another person as well as the driver to organise everybody.

Ljubljana Castle with a wonderful view of the city. Pšeren Square with a lively atmosphere, the unusual Triple Bridge, the bright pink Franciscan Church of the Annunciation of Mary, the Bridge of Love and the Dragon Bridge. I definitely recommend going to Lake Bled, Predjama Castle and Postojna Cave.

Slovenia is an amazing country with fantastic, friendly people, and it remains one of Europe's most underrated destinations. It is often overshadowed by Italy, Austria, and Croatia, but it is a gem in its own right. Ljubljana is a beautiful, relatively small city that can easily be explored in two days. It is not your typical capital city, which is part of its charm. The castle is a wonderful place to visit, the people are incredibly friendly, and the river is simply stunning. We highly recommend taking a river cruise to appreciate the city from a different perspective. We absolutely loved our time there!

This pod hostel puts any in the UK to shame. Your own lockable room with mood lighting, ac and heating, a safe and cupboard to put your clothes in and to top it off i had a double bed. Without a window as in the basement it is as good as a minimul hotel room. There is a bus stop right outside for the NO6 which takes you to the city centre with convenience for only 1 euro 50 each way. loved it that much and the sublime city that i am returning for two nights in a few days so highly recommend if you want your own space and piece and quiet.

It's not a hotel, rather a very cozy house with comfy bedded rooms. Even though the room was small and the bathroom shared on the hallway, the bed was extremely comfortable and the staff really great. We had a private parking place ( as we travelled by car) , breakfast really good, but they could do it a little bit more diverse. And it was very clean as well. Close to the city Centre- 5 minutes walking distance. Great option for lunch and dinner, their food is AMAZING!!!! and big portions.

This was a very nice stay in this hotel on the outskirts of the city centre, while still only being a 20 minute walk away from restaurants and shops. The welcome with arrival drink was very appreciated. The parking was available for a reasonable price and breakfast was a nice spread.
