Incredible 4 nights at Ataraxia! The location was incredible - easy to access all major islands & grab a water taxi, but at the same time secluded enough to be immersed in the jungle with birds, flora, and wildlife all around. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful in organizing taxis, tours, and giving recommendations. The breakfast was yummy & the restaurant ambiance was great. We had dinner one night and it was good food & value. The yoga space off the restaurant was an added bonus - they have mats and blocks so we were able to do yoga with a view in the mornings. The room was spacious, the patio was large, it was very cool at night with the fan, and the wifi was surprisingly really strong.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. Perfect location, great friendly staff and few silly dogs that make the family atmosphere. We stayed in the room in the main building and it was clean, not noisy at all. I particularly enjoyed the hammock on the front porch. The food is good, it is in the panamanian price range (so it can seem expensive, but it’s similar in the whole Panama). There is a nature park on the property, where we saw sloths, red frogs, kaymans and other animals. We also highly reccomend the guided tours with local guides, they are super nice and there is a lot to see. :)

I have just finished my stay at Jungle Paunch and I really want to go back. Maxi is a great host, be will do everything to make you feel comfortable and help with whatever you need. Inside the cabins you will find the story of how Jungle Paunch was built and it is simply inspiring; a true eco lodge. the surroundings are magnificent and you can hear not only all the sounds of the jungle, but also the waves crashing in the sea very close by. an extraordinary experience, with regular visits from many animals! There is also a higher platform on the property that is excellent for meditating in the early morning and late afternoon! the Paunch area is very quiet, and Bluff beach - one of the owners’ passions - is well worth the visit. I couldn't recommend this place more. Thank you so much Maxi and Jane for your inspiring work!

The place is amazing! If you are looking for nature, choose this lodge. Since this is eco lodge, you’d find most of furniture is made of wood and stone, which adds a different atmosphere. There are 3 beaches the lodge - one little private cove, second at the entrance of the lodge and the biggest beach on the island is 300 meters away.

Nice accommodation in the middle of the jungle.The kitchen was really nice for cooking and was constructed recently. Amazing beaches around and a super nice host, that helped us with everything and likes to talk a lot.
