This place truly felt like a dream, with a tranquil river, waterfall, luscious greenery and the faint hum of animals and nature. Our stay in the air conditioned treehouse was exceptional, with futons that, while firmer, offered a uniquely comfortable rest. The seclusion of the spot made it feel like a private slice of paradise. The river and waterfall were so serene that I could spend hours simply relaxing on their sun loungers by the edge. There is also a cafe across the river that is run by a wife and husband duo that is only accessible by walking or driving on a path through a scenic rice paddy. It had sushi, pizza, noodles and more that was delicious and worth trying! The lodge also offers a range of riverside activites such as saunas, bike riding, a fire-pit for evening relaxation, and water rafting. The rafting and the peaceful moments floating in the river were core memories from my stay and a must try!

Located 19 km from Yakusugi Land, 森のフェアリー Cottage Morino Fairy All cotage with open-air bath with sea view or river view offers a garden, and air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony and free... We loved our stay here. The host took her time to explain everything and answered a lot of my questions. Very nice and responsive. The trees on the back patio invite a lot of birds so I got to watch them every morning. We rented a car, the cottage was easy to find and access. It's very comfortable, the air temp in the room, the furniture, the hot tub on the patio, the kitchenette. Although we mostly ate the already prepared food from the grocery stores.

Hokkoma Aso Private cottage 1棟貸しコテージ南阿蘇, a property with a garden and a terrace, is located in Aso, 35 km from Egao Kenko Stadium Kumamoto, 45 km from Suizenji Park, as well as 46 km from Hosokawa... We stayed for 2 nights at Hokkoma cottage and loved our stay. The property itself was wonderful, had everything we needed and felt like home. Our trip was focused on taking advantage of Aso's beautiful nature and the cottage's location allowed us to do this. It was also great to know that there was a large bath to use after the hike to soak our tired legs!

It had been such a pleasant experience to stay in this unique cottage, the room is neat and tidy with all facilities in place. We were supposed to be there before 6:00pm the latest but we finally arrived late around 8:30pm as we lost our way. Without getting the electronic toll card (ETC card) from the car company, we were stuck at the toll collection point ( cash is not acceptable), the host was so nice to direct us to find another way out and waited until our late check in. Really appreciate for his kindness. Make your booking at this cottage is a very good choice.

Situated 200 metres from Miuda Beach, Tsushima Miuda Pension features accommodation with a garden, a shared lounge and a shared kitchen for your convenience. Tsushima Miuda Pension is located next to the beach and the hot springs. The huts are simple, but comfortable and the shower water pressure is great. The kitchen comes with a cooking plate and a rice cooker, which was very convenient for me.

Set 2.4 km from Harutahama Beach, Cottage Kutsuroki offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Located near the bus stop 62 if you don't have a car. Also well located to hike the Arakawa trail, I was able to take the first bus without problems. You can also order bento for the trail the day before if you want to, which is super convenient. Also located near a supermarket and the main town, if you want to buy supplies or eat in a local restaurant. It was super clean and super comfortable.

Set in Yakushima in the Kagoshima region, TIDA Resort Yakushima 旧 屋久島海の胡汀路てぃーだ offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. The houses are very comfortable and well equipped. We absolutely loved Japanese breakfasts. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. My daughter absolutely loved the goat. Apparently it is not a very easy to tame goat but after 2 days and some carrots it licked her hand ;)

Stardust Village Hossyo features a hot spring bath, as well as accommodation with a kitchen in Kokonoe. This truly is a gem. Very comfortable accommodation with everything you need. The staff were so thorough to ensure my stay was comfortable. The outdoor bath is one of the best I've experienced in Japan. It's in a beautiful Part of the country and we'll worth a stay. I didn't want to leave

Ginga no Yado Kinoko2seigo features garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Shimo-tajiri, 38 km from Mount Aso. The accommodation is run by a very kind and caring couple. They are very interested and care about their guests. During the evening we had an amazing 4 course dinner and in the morning an amazing breakfast. Also, we could make use of the private onsen during the evening and watched Jupiter and the moon in the observatory which was both very special. When there was snow during breakfast, the owner took care of us by checking the road conditions and help us deciding the route. Thank you very much for the truly wonderful and perfect stay. We enjoyed it very much.
