Situated in a 100-year-old building, guests staying at this lodge can relax in the hot tub and then prepare a meal using the barbecue facilities provided. The view was amazing. We sat in bed in the morning drinking coffee and watching the sun rise above the mist. The spa pool is in a covered area, where you can look at the view. Beds were soft, just how we like them! Very quiet area. 😉

Set on Northland's Cable Bay beachfront, Driftwood Beachfront Accommodation, Cable Bay, Owhetu offers BBQ facilities, free WiFi, free sea kayak hire, free fishing equipment and free boogie boards. Flawless seaside stay. Exactly as advertised. Peaceful and serene location, immaculatly clean facilities. Wish we had stayed more than one night. Would happily return, and would definitely recommend to friends and family. Highlights included the epic views and beach access. Also, arriving to special touches like my name written on our door so we knew where to go, and homemade shortbread to nibble on. We were also delighted to find a little bowl of jetplanes in the fridge- a little kiwiana for the Irish half of our party. Decor was on point for the classic kiwi bach theme.
