The Towadako Lakeside Hotel exceed our expectations in every way. The staff was extremely friendly even though we spoke with very broken Japanese, they seemed to piece together our English rather well. We booked the traditional room with the meal plan including dinner and breakfast. The food was locally sourced, prepared perfectly and arranged in the most beautiful presentation at every meal; no two meals were alike. The lake's Kokonee Salmon was the highlight of my weekend, but my husband and son really enjoyed the Hokoda beef. There was a ton of delicious food at each meal and they were happy to bring more, if needed (it was not needed). The traditional room was set up with tea service during the afternoons and was transformed into a bedroom during dinner service. Upon returning from breakfast service the tea table was back in place. The furnishings are minimal, but perfect. The hotel provides traditional robes for use throughout your stay and it is encouraged that you wear them at any point--even to meals. We did not try the public bath or onsen, but definitely will next time.

Beautiful hotel right near the lake and downtown. Only short walk to illumination, which was vert fun. Amazing dinner and spectacular onsen. Wonderful in the winter.

This hostel is not far from Towada lake. There is a kitchen to cook your food.

We loved our stay at Towada prince hotel. Staffs were really kind, we liked the room, meal, onsen, view.. just enjoyed all. Thank you for preparing our room as we requested, really appreciate it. We want to visit again!
