It’s a beautiful hotel nestled into the hillside by the river. The reception area is amazing, especially with the Shamisen lady is playing. The traditional rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable.

Above and beyond the call of duty, the staff went out of their way to provide impeccable service in all areas: arrival, reception, attention to detail, care and attention, assistance, warm service straight from the heart, and explaining everything with patience. Food served was of extraordinary standards and high quality. True hospitality is not about facilities , it’s about service straight from the heart. All other Ryokans should send their staff here for training and to learn true hospitality

מקום האירוח 民宿たきた館 guest house TAKITA-KAN ממוקם באיוואקי, במרחק של 32 ק''מ מאקווה-מרין פוקושימה, וכולל גינה, חניה פרטית בחינם וטרקלין משותף. Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious. The food arrangement was a combination mostly of typical Japanese dishes with a touch of western cuisine. We stayed on New Year's Eve so we even got some special dishes on top! For drinks, there were also several home-made ones (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to choose from. The owner was extremely nice! He and his partner have a lot of international travel experience, especially in Latin America and Spain. They have very broad perspectives, so it's not a problem to stay as a foreigner even if you haven't been to Japan before. The inn of course has a natural hot spring bath, and we were able to book a time-slot to use privately. It is a remote location far away from the city, so we could enjoy some time away from the busy city and do some stargazing as well. They keep several cats which are very cute and friendly towards the guests.

Our stay was delightful. The staff was very attentive and responsive to all our questions (unlike in some of the reviews, they were as helpful in the morning as at our arrival, and not stressed at all). We were the only non Japanese speaking guests but they tried their best to answer us in English. The place itself was very clean and beautifully decorated, so was our suite. The beds were very comfortable, the living room spacious, and the private balcony onsen wonderful. The attention to detail was greatly appreciated, like the provided lotions, drinks and supplies. Dinner in a private room with a view on the river, was quite the experience. A flurry of meals, coming one after the other, was very enjoyable. We wished the staff would take a bit more time explaining to us, non Japanese, more about the food itself. The non private onsens were great as well, especially the outdoor one.

Located in Ashinomaki Onsen, 渓谷美の宿川音 provides some air-conditioned rooms with private open-air hot spring bath. The view from my room was breath taking. The room wax clean and the futon very comfortable. The buffet dinner and breakfast were excellent. Onsen as well very nice as I used the small one and I was alone!

Breakfast was individually organised and wrapped that made the whole experience a lot more unique. The whole building was an ex taxi noffice in traditional style. Had a cute little table for eating food. Don't expect spacious facilities, but if you are after traditional Japanese experience with home atmosphere, this Guesthouse is for you.
