I Nikko, 9 minutters gange fra Nikko Tosho-gu-helligdommen, ligger Nikko Nishimachi Club, som har en terrasse, gratis privat parkering og en restaurant. The Nikko Nishimachi Club a la touto is located within a short walking distance to 4 area Temples/Shrines. Our suite was spacious and comfortable. The hotel offers wonderful private spa access on each floor which can be reserved in advance (there is a nominal spa tax which is paid during checkout). Some free drinks were provided in the room fridge along with some simple snacks (chips/crisps). Bathrobes, pajamas and quality toiletries are also provided. The staff was very courteous and helpful, always using a translation app when needed to ensure a clear understanding. Local cafes and restaurants can have odd hours or closing days, so just be aware. The Indian restaurant above the nearby Lawsons was very good, as well as the crepes in the cafe next door, when open. A visit to the local tourist information center was very helpful. The hotel reimbursed our taxi fees from the train station upon arrival and welcomed us with a glass of wine or juice, which was lovely. They also provided transportation back to the train station after checkout.

I Nasu, 27 kilometer fra Shirakawa stasjon, ligger Jizaiso, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en restaurant og en bar. Comfortable stay, great food and amazing service! The staff were all lovely! They had a service to bring us to the bus station and it helped us out a lot.

Established in 1666, Honke Bankyu is housed in a registered historical building. The Japanese rooms feature traditional decor, futon bedding and a flat-screen TV. Literally everything. The hotel is an amazing 300+ year old guest house and scenery from the rooms is amazing. This is a must go Onsen Hotel!

About a 20-minute walk from the Nikko shrines, Annex Turtle Hotori-An is situated next to the Daiya river and green forests. It features hot spring baths with river views. The owner greeted us with such helpful information. Onsen is exceptional - I was nervous about getting access but it was never a problem. Breakfast is great and very filling! Location is wonderful - right next to the Ganman-ga-fuchi abyss. Very peaceful, short walk to restaurants.

COCO VILLA 那須白河 Nasushirakawa har en hage og utsikt mot fjellet, og ligger i Nasu, 14 kilometer fra Shirakawa stasjon og 14 kilometer fra Komine-slottet. 10/10. Sauna was really good. Local navigation app needed for entering the local area from the main road entry. Overall highly recommended
