Dormy Inn Aomori Natural Hot Spring ligger i Aomori, 6 kilometer fra Sannai-Maruyama historiske sted og 43 kilometer fra Tsuta varme kilde. So relaxing, was great sitting in the hot spring in the snow. Lovely staff, everything top notch.

Hotel is new and clean. Location right next to station. Love the room, can adjust air con temp. Enjoy the lounge too, with free snacks and tea.

Kashintei Shirahama ligger i Senboku, bare 15 kilometer fra Varme kilder i Nyuto og 49 kilometer fra Morioka stasjon. Absolutely fantastic stay! I spent 2 nights and everything was great. The room was very comfy and the onsen was outstanding. The dining experience was one of the best I've had during my trip. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious with a wide variety of great dishes. Special thanks to the staff, especially the person who served me during meals for their dedication and patience in explaining everything to me. Next time I visit I promise to improve my Japanese!

Historical Ryokan SENYUKAN har en beleilig beliggenhet i Owani Onsen i Ōwani, 43 kilometer fra Sannai-Maruyama historiske sted, 17 kilometer fra Hirosaki slott og 42 kilometer fra Sukayu Onsen. This place is an absolute gem. The staff, food, location and room were all exceptional. I would recommend this ryokan to anyone wanting an exceptional ryokan experience. The onsen was also fantastic and the warmest one we came across in our month in Japan.

I Tsuruoka, 3,5 kilometer fra Kamo Aquarium, ligger Kameya Hotel, som har en hage og gratis privat parkering. Amazing Hotel, even though it is a very traditional and old place, the rooms are very modern and renovated with all the amenities one can think of. Onsen is good too, but very hot. The beach is literally just across the road! The rooms all have an ocean view. Staff is extremely friendly and breakfast is also great. Just watch out to book dinner if possible, as there are not many options to eat around town if you don’t want to take the car.

I Tendō, 30 kilometer fra Zao Hotsprings Skianlegg, ligger Ichiraku tendo spa & brewery, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en fellesstue og en terrasse. What a cool place! There were so many opportunities to taste the beer that was brewed locally on-site. From the drinks bar at check-in to the tasting room open all day to the all-you-can-drink plan at dinner, the hotel was really quite generous with their liquid offerings. Even non-drinkers are accommodated with plenty of alcohol-free options. We also liked that they had multiple private baths on site. The main onsen were also quite nice. The food was fantastic and the beef served at dinner was some of the best I've had.

Yuze Hotel ligger i Yuze Onsen i Kazuno. Dette 4-stjerners ryokanet har en fellesstue i tillegg til rom med klimaanlegg, gratis WiFi og eget bad. The dinner was amazing - there was a station where the staff prepares a small dish on the spot for you. The onsen was eye-opening to say the least. It is located beside a stream / forest, and it was refreshing to soak in the onsen while listening to the stream flow by.

Featuring free WiFi and a restaurant, Okawaso offers accommodation in Aizuwakamatsu, 13 km from Aizu Higashiyama Onsen. Each room at this ryokan is air conditioned and comes with a TV. Possibly the best hotel/ short stay experience I have ever had. The service was exceptional with excellent facilities to spend your time relaxing in - with a large beautiful lounge with a fire pit, live shamisen performances daily from 4pm to 6pm. The public onsen had incredible outdoor views with the terraced pools giving you an option to sit under cover or out in the elements (it was snowing during our visit so it was idyllic). With the additional option to rent out a private onsen also, you are spoiled for choice. The staff were incredibly helpful in suggesting activities and also providing information on how to use the local train services on the Aizu line to support our day trip to Ouchi-juku as well as our journey to our next destination. Helpful tip- you can pay for train tickets at Ashinomaki onsen station before or after a trip on the train, to save any stress or doubt over carrying the correct change coins (but make sure you have cash to cover all of it!)

Tokinenoyado Yunushi Ichijoh is situated in the Kamasaki Onsen district in Shiroishi, a 15-minute drive from Shiroishi Station and Shiroishi-Zao Station. The staff were incredibly accommodating, their care and attention made our visit relaxed and joyful, the Kaiseki was excellent and well balanced, showcasing local delicacies and providing an excellent view into tradition. Being able to use the Onsen with a tattoo and not having to cover it up was a pleasant surprise, the Onsen was excellent and very clean (I only used the outside pool). We were picked up by their free shuttle bus at the Shinkansen station and dropped off as well. We have to thank all of the staff, but a special mention should be given to Meguro, who took great care of us.

I Senboku, bare 7,9 kilometer fra Varme kilder i Nyuto og 10 kilometer fra Tazawako stasjon ligger 田沢湖水沢温泉郷セルリアンリゾートAoni. Everything about the stay and accomodation is great! Staff were well trained, polite and helpful. Rooms were clean and they provide free shuttle service to the ski resort. There is even a facilities for kids playroom and table tennis for free. Breakfast and dinner provided were of great quality and delicious. Definitely recommended for stay here!
