I Atami, 1,7 kilometer fra Atami Sun Beach, ligger SOKI ATAMI, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en terrasse og en restaurant. This was literally the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at. It was so tranquil and beyond relaxing. Every detail on the property was meticulously thought through, the service was impeccable and the food was AMAZING! I only wished we could have stayed longer.

I Shirakawa-go, 45 kilometer fra Hida Minzoku Mura landsbymuseum, ligger Onyado Yuinosho, Shirakawago, som har en fellesstue, gratis privat parkering, en restaurant og en bar. This was a great introduction to a ryokan experience. While it’s part of a chain, it still felt authentic. Very spacious rooms, impeccable cleanliness. The onsen is one of the best we’ve experienced, with a view of ghe mountains. The food was so generous, prepared with the highest level of attention to sourcing local ingredients, respecting seasonal produce, and balancing flavors. This was a really lovely stay.

Ryokan Asunaro: A Traditional Japanese Inn in Takayama. Nestled just a 6-minute walk from Takayama Station and the Nohi Bus Center, Ryokan Asunaro offers an authentic Japanese inn experience. Veldig hyggelig vertskap. Ryokan Asunaro var et nydelig sted med flotte rom og et fint onsen. Anbefaler å gå for halv pensjon med middag og frokost- begge måltider var helt storveis.

Oyado Koto No Yume ligger bare 2 minutters gange fra Takayama stasjon og har rom i japansk stil med fargerike innslag, termalbad, en restaurant og gratis Wi-Fi overalt. Everything was simply perfect. The staff were amazing and extremely friendly! The rooms are spacious and while a bit dated, they are clean and very cozy. Being able to book a private hot bath was also very welcome. It is only a few minutes away from the Train/Bus station, but as soon as you enter the domain of the hotel, it feels as if you step from the city straight into an Onsen town. Unfortunately we only stayed for one night.

Ryokan Hostel K 's House ligger i en 100 år gammel vernet bygning i Shizuoka, en 7-minutters spasertur fra JR Ito togstasjon. Vandrerhjemmet tilbyr bad i varme kilder, gratis Wi-Fi og 3 stuer. The location was perfect for us. Staff are very helpful. Amazing Ramen place the other side of the bridge. Best in Ito.

Nestled in the tranquil Hida Mountains, Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort offers traditional accommodation featuring hot spring baths and nature views. The resort is amazing, you can truly relax and experience the onsen culture away from crowds and in a very original way. Rooms are very nice and clean and the private onsen are the best added value if you want to have privacy and relax in the onsen.

I Iwata, 12 kilometer fra Shizuoka ECOPA-stadion, ligger GREENITY IWATA, som har en fellesstue, gratis privat parkering, en terrasse og en restaurant. This place is nothing short of magical. From the moment I stepped into the room, I was blown away. The room itself was stunning—elegant, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, with both a luxurious bathtub and a separate shower. Every detail felt curated for comfort and beauty. The onsen was an absolute highlight. It was an incredible experience, offering the ultimate relaxation with breathtaking views that made me feel completely at peace. The scenery here is nothing less than spectacular, a perfect harmony of nature and tranquility. I was also impressed by the attention to detail in the amenities provided, particularly the beauty kits. The skincare products were exceptional—something I wouldn't even expect from the finest 5-star hotels I’ve stayed in. Honestly, this place surpasses even the most luxurious hotels. It’s not just a stay; it’s an experience. A true retreat for the soul—I left feeling rejuvenated, inspired, and completely in awe of the beauty of this place. Highly, highly recommended! If you’re seeking a perfect blend of elegance, relaxation, and nature, this is it.
