This is a gem of a rental and the host is fantastic, thanks so much. Very quick to help through messaging and made sure to give us great tips for hiking and seeing wildlife nearby. Tucked right against the national park, the bird life and wildlife is great. Platypus in the pond, kookaburras and lace monitors hunting over the lawn, wallabees coming to the yard at night, little/azure/and forest kingfishers together in the creek or saying hello at the balcony, noisy pittas and fruit doves calling from behind the house, and double eyed fig parrots feeding in the yard! Plenty of room to stretch your legs in this house, and with the house being split into 3 sections (outside walkways connecting them) this would make a good rental for multiple groups. Mosquitos are rare or nonexistent, windows are screened, and the kitchen is well stocked for cooking. The large fans in the house where great (no AC, not needed).

We loved the beautiful location of Sweetwater Lodge. We enjoyed walking into the rainforest and seeing the waterfall. We are bird watchers and we saw lovey fairy wrens and red back fairy wrens, blue winged kookaburras to name a few also saw pademelons and wallabies. Magical.

A nice old character house. The pub across the road has good food. Lisa (the host) is very friendly and we met other nice people during our stay from the other rooms.
