We wanted overnight accommodation near Santander to catch a ferry next day. The hotel was easy to find, free parking was available in front of the hotel and the reception was manned. Checking in was easy and we took the lift to our room. It was spotlessly clean, the bed was huge and comfortable and the shower was pristine. This was one of the best rooms we have experienced in 15 years of travel between Spain and the UK. Next morning the breakfast was laid out well and Adrian was on hand to explain the routine and top up the wide selection. The old part of Aguilar de Campoo is only two minutes walk away from the hotel and is very worthy of a visit. The old buildings have been well preserved and give a glimpse of life in rural Spain centuries ago.

Great hotel with nice room and comfortable bed. Staff was very understanding when I cracked a shelf in the bathroom. Breakfast was nice. Great location. Secure bike parking.
