Hotels with Parking in Veskoniemi

Very comfortable, well equipped, perfect place for couples or small families. The built-in electric heating is a very good feature, without it it would have been hard to maintain the temperature with the fireplace. The sauna is also very good, both stoves (sauna and living room) are very easy to fire up and handle, nice design. We experienced a new level of darkness at night outside, very low level of light pollution in the area.

Amazing views and very well kitted out!

A beautiful remote place to stay – by Lake Inari with a huge sky above, if you are interested in hunting auroras. The cabin is small (therefore easier to heat in winter) and equipped for literally every occasion. There are fresh bed sheets and plenty of warm blankets. You have to find your way around making fire, using a gas stove, etc & you have to be willing to learn new things (like drilling water from the lake was for us). And do take the time and the trouble of heating up the sauna, it is well worth it, even in -15C & with the floor slightly frozen. Experiment with the smaller ladle, dashes of hot water on the rocks will give you one of the nicest sauna experiences imaginable – higher up, of course. There are quite a few nice hiking trails nearby and two birdwatching towers.

A remote cabin at a lake near Ivalo. It was very romantic to stay there as a couple, because we like having time by ourselves in the nature with no one around. As it was below -30 degrees Celsius most of the time, it was challenging to keep warm temperatures in the cabin. The sauna was a very nice addition to warm up throughout the day. We liked the basic setup with electricity from a car battery, heating through wood, and water from the frozen lake (and of course the supermarket), but that is probably not something everyone enjoys.

From the moment we arrived at Villa Lapin Kulta, an idyllic retreat on the shores of Lake Inari, we loved everything about it: in particular the stylish interior design, the incredibly comfortable beds, the well-equipped kitchen, the cosiness, the spacious wood-fired sauna and the magnificent VIEW from the huge floor-to-ceiling windows. It was a privilege and a pleasure to spend our long weekend immersed in the pristine natural beauty of the Arctic wilderness. We were lucky enough to view the Northern Lights from the hot tub on the night we arrived and also experienced snowshoeing for the first time, thanks to the (high-quality) winter sports equipment provided. Communication with Niina was excellent, from booking to departure. It really was a perfect and truly memorable stay.

The snowmobile tour was great!

We had the most wonderful stay at Villa Sarmi. The location is absolutely breathtaking - a true paradise in the heart of nature. Surrounded by stunning landscapes and complete tranquility, it was the perfect place to relax and unwind! The host Pekka was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always available for any questions. Even before our arrival, we felt genuinely cared for. Good to know is that the parking area is about 2 km from the Villa, and guests are transported to the property by snowmobile. Upon arrival, we were given a short tour where everything was explained to us, including how and where to get fresh water and wood, how the sauna works, etc. It’s not for the lazy, but getting back to the roots truly makes you feel even more connected to nature. You also have free access to various equipment such as snow suits, snowshoes, and more. We can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and unforgettable getaway. We will definitely be coming back!

We have had an amazing stay in this beautiful lake-house! Very friendly hosts who have been in close direct contact from the moment we booked until the day after we had left. Helping with booking the most fun excursions within their network and even helping us with our car through the difficult snow conditions. Furthermore, all facilities were new and well-kept. And last, but not least: we loved the amazing views over the lake and due to the location it was a perfect place to watch the northern lights (see picture)!
