The stay was excellent with the host family providing considerate assistance to all their guests. The dinner was most enjoyable and the large pool well cared for and very relaxing.

Marion and Trevor were exceptional hosts. They were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. They have a good knowledge of the area and gave me some great tips. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful, with great coffee. The location was perfect for me and not too far from Carcassonne or Castelnaudary. There are some wonderful places to visit within a half-hour to hour's drive. I will certainly be back for another visit.

Blissful rural retreat in idyllic location with southerly views across lush fields to the Pyrenees. Excellent breakfast with cheese, hams & fruit, on top of the usual "French" breakfast. Friendly host. Ridiculously good value No TV in the room is a big plus!

The Abbaye is a gem lost in time, an incredible location full of magic and charme. Spending two days there was an incredible privilege. Spending the evening in front of the fire in a 1200 old abbey playing with a lazy dog and a chubby cat was incredible. The stories from the owners and the care of their delightful breakfast sealed the deal and made this the highlight of our trip. Looking forward to go back in spring to spend more time in the cloister, really a fantastic location.

The property was large and superbly equipped. The lovely landlady was on hand to help with anything had we needed it. There was a bookcase full of great books to read, good shops nearby, a castle to explore, lakes to swim in, forests and mountains to walk in and terrific local markets in a very untouristy part of France. In a boiling hot summer it was cool. I could not recommend it highly enough. We will certainly return. Good for birds too!
