The Au Cheval Noir was a lovely, secluded place in the country. Lovely views, lovely old house. Comfortable beds, cosy atmosphere. Thoughtful tea, coffee and cakes waiting for us. Wonderful French breakfast for us in the morning. Our host was lovely, kind and thoughtful. Lovely to be near enough to Bergues, which was a gem of a place I had never come across before. We were only passing through for the night, but a place we'd love to come back to.

We loved the warm welcome. The facilities were perfect for example, fridge, kettle, TV with English channels. My car was able to park right up to the front door - the security was exceptional. In addition, surrounding the accommodation, close-by, a supermarket, restaurants to name a few. Oliver met us at the reception, guided us to a convenient parking space, checked us in with full explanations and support. All this contributed to our holiday that included over two weeks travelling mainstream Europe from the UK to Hungary and back. First class and very convenient accommodation. I will never stay at Loon Plage while this accommodation performs to this standard. Only one small critical observation was the password to the WIFI. That aside, we give 1 million percent.

Service, hospitality, facilities breakfasts, coffee all were excellent. One of the nicest B&B d'hotes I have ever stayed at. For sure would reccomend or indeed stay there myself another time. Fantastic, a big pleasure.

Central location in a cute town. Definitely worth staying if getting early dunkirk ferry. Stairs were very steep, but cool accommodation on 3 levels!
